As the great Carole said it:

"Something i saw on youtube made me think that we lsi pple should write a big community postcard. like, someone writes a few words on a postcard, then they send it to a person from lsi they have the address of, then the person writes something on the postcard, then sends it to someone else and so on.. and in the end the card comes back to me (of course), i scan it and everyone can see the wonderful card that went all around the world, with everyones lil handwritten note on it. i like that idea"

to whoever receives the postcard :

situation 1 : u received it but u have no one to send it too. =( aw. PM me, i'll give u someone's address to send it to.
situation 2 : u received it and u have someone to send it too : please make sure the person is aware what this card thing is. either cuz they posted here, or cuz uve talked to them about it.
situation 3 : u havent received the card, but u might get it soon cuz u're definitely on the list. just be patient.
situation 4 : u havent received the card, and u know u wont ever get it. u suck, dont worry, it happens.
situation 5 : u look fabulous today. no really. hot and sexy all over.
situation 6 : u received the card, but your dog ate it. u suck, big time. we all hate u and your dog too.

all in all : have fun =)

-----------------------------------------

If you are interested in receiving the postcard, please post to this thread.

Someone can volunteer to be in charge of the whole thing, or I can do it. Whatever everyone is comfortable with.

I'd like to keep this to forum regulars for now. I'm not trying to leave people out, I just don't want to send it to someone who was here for a week and then never bothers forwarding it because they don't care.

Also, don't post addresses here. Once we know who will be in charge of it and who wants to participate those people can give their address to the person in charge

Edit from Lisa:
I have now taken charge of this, so send me your address if you want in.

Once you get the card, here's what you do:
1. Post in this thread, expressing your happiness over receiving it.
2. Send me (Lisa) a message and I will give you the next person's address.
3. Write something on the card. Don't take up too much space. Unless you're the last person, in which case, go crazy. If you want to draw something like a couple of people did last time, that's lovely, but keep it small.
(4. Totally optional. Find a small gift to send with the card to the next person. Make sure it's something that is allowed to be sent in the mail. There can be some weird restrictions, especially when mailing to another country, and we don't want the card confiscated. Don't feel pressured to do this or to find a nice gift. It's just for fun.)
5. Put the card in an envelope and mail it to the next person.

One envelope?

I sent it to James in a box; items too big for an envelope.

sierra gets a gold star for being the quickest one about it. 7 days to get the postcard in and out, while the rest of us, lazy people, took nearly a month each

What was my reason for taking so long? Just curious.

Because apparently wink wink your post office kept it aside. I don't know if I used wink wink right, but you catch my drift.

Rude.

I'll give Sierra her gold star later. It'll be O-shaped.

Seriously, Jeff. We're not going to make this about another of your lies or anything else focussing on you, and it's certainly not funny; it's just sad, and sad that you wanted to bring it up again.

Sorry, girl, food comes first.

I like your writing, Ray, though I laughed because for a moment I thought the first word was "Gayssss".

Joey, I think the card was in an envelope in the box to begin with. I don't know how long that stayed.

Oh, OK. This was my own box. The card came to me in a white, padded envelope, I think (B?) and I used one of the boxes in my room.

* offtopic :
I have a small collection of different sized boxes and envelopes because of how often I post internationally (less so these days) and around the country.

I liked Sierra's 'like' comment.

I didn't mean that the same box followed the card, just that the envelope did. Like when you send a birthday card with a gift, the card has its own envelope.

I've kept most boxes you've sent me things in. But I rarely send things big enough to warrant a box. Usually use padded envelopes.

Nice! I might print a copy of this and put it on my wall.

I did that!

My parents aren't very impressed with what James and Joe said.

Sounds like the next card needs a "report to moderator" functionality

Haha.

I had already told my parents to not be upset with some of the lovely things written about me prior to even seeing it. They were like, "Jeff, who are these lovely individuals?"

True, there were some unkind things said, which is unfortunate. And some in jest like the post count. But to be fair, did you also explain to your parents that you have been known to intentionally be a brat to these said individuals?
