As the great Carole said it:

"Something i saw on youtube made me think that we lsi pple should write a big community postcard. like, someone writes a few words on a postcard, then they send it to a person from lsi they have the address of, then the person writes something on the postcard, then sends it to someone else and so on.. and in the end the card comes back to me (of course), i scan it and everyone can see the wonderful card that went all around the world, with everyones lil handwritten note on it. i like that idea"

to whoever receives the postcard :

situation 1 : u received it but u have no one to send it too. =( aw. PM me, i'll give u someone's address to send it to.
situation 2 : u received it and u have someone to send it too : please make sure the person is aware what this card thing is. either cuz they posted here, or cuz uve talked to them about it.
situation 3 : u havent received the card, but u might get it soon cuz u're definitely on the list. just be patient.
situation 4 : u havent received the card, and u know u wont ever get it. u suck, dont worry, it happens.
situation 5 : u look fabulous today. no really. hot and sexy all over.
situation 6 : u received the card, but your dog ate it. u suck, big time. we all hate u and your dog too.

If you are interested in receiving the postcard, please post to this thread.

Someone can volunteer to be in charge of the whole thing, or I can do it. Whatever everyone is comfortable with.

I'd like to keep this to forum regulars for now. I'm not trying to leave people out, I just don't want to send it to someone who was here for a week and then never bothers forwarding it because they don't care.

Also, don't post addresses here. Once we know who will be in charge of it and who wants to participate those people can give their address to the person in charge

Once you get the card, here's what you do:
1. Post in this thread, expressing your happiness over receiving it.
2. Send me (Lisa) a message and I will give you the next person's address.
3. Write something on the card. Don't take up too much space. Unless you're the last person, in which case, go crazy. If you want to draw something like a couple of people did last time, that's lovely, but keep it small.
(4. Totally optional. Find a small gift to send with the card to the next person. Make sure it's something that is allowed to be sent in the mail. There can be some weird restrictions, especially when mailing to another country, and we don't want the card confiscated. Don't feel pressured to do this or to find a nice gift. It's just for fun.)
5. Put the card in an envelope and mail it to the next person.

Haha, grammar book. That's great. I agree, they do look like scrotums, except for the nipples. I don't think scrotums have nipples.

Sorry I haven't given you the next address. I haven't been on my computer, but I'll get to that tomorrow.

Package received @ January 28th!!

I opened it with extreme caution, remembering of everbody's evil plans with the card. I knew that the friendly front of the card, the squirrel, perhaps didn't reflect the content of the package at all. But after 30 seconds I didn't find myself drewling or dead on the floor or running away from a terrible smell. So I considered the situation "clear and under control".

Great to have the postcard in front of me thinking of the path it travelled for such a long time! How many ships, airplanes, cars has it seen from the inside? How many doorbells has it heard? And the card is still alive and in good shape (it only has the form/rounding of an ass, somebody guilty on accidentally taking a sit on it?

). Weird to think how many LSI peeps have had this card in their hands. LSI is digital only, so having something "real" feel weird. Nice to read the texts on the card, hillaaaaaarious!!

So what was in the package? A "The Boss" mug and two bags of candy! Haha, thanks James. For some reason the coffee tastes a little better drinking it out of this one.

And for the two candy bags, yum!! I had do to a search and rescue though. The sound of a candy bag is definitely a child-magnet, and the two little ones took off with the bags while I was reading the postcard

The bags have been recovered and are save on the boss-desk, of course with the promise that everybody would get a share of the candy when we open it. Kids...

So what's next? I think I'm last in the list, so it goes back to the initiator who can pick a nice place in the house to put it on the wall. Adress please

I'll make a scan for in the LSI museum (this new section will be available in the new LSI layout). Or if somebody adds something to the card after me, then I'll receive a scan of the card from this person.

I like the LSI museum idea too. I THINK I have a scan of the first postcard somewhere (although my scan was about halfway through it's trip). If I can find it, I'll send it to you, Ray.

Email is fine. I have a copy of a card as well (found it online somwhere), it shows IKEA 2005 on the bottom. I'll upload it to LSI, I guess somebody can tell what edition that one was.
