An idea I just thought of, partially because I'm curious, mostly because I need some new ideas!

That sounds so... gross, haha. But if it's a well known dish it can't be terrible, can it?

I think I'm making Lasagna tonight. Don't know what recipe I'll use yet, I think I'm going to look for a new one.

My mom used to make some version of Flying Jakob, but leaving the bananas and peanuts on the side. Without those, it's OK.

Flying Jakob is better than it sounds. A true 70's classic here

Tonight it'll probably be stockfish and pepper sauce.

I make some adjustments with seasonings, but otherwise follow this recipe exactly.

Taco salads!

My night to cook, pretty easy night...

Taco salads, basically consisting of my mom's "secret" recipe taco seasoning with ground beef, refried beans, spanish rice, and of course all the taco fixins. And for dessert I made strawberry jello with cut up banana pieces.

I made homemade sausage alfredo tonight.

Cook some ground sausage (about a pound) then add chopped carrots and broccoli and cook until they're soft.
While that's cooking melt a couple tablespoons of butter in another pan, add a couple spoonfuls of cornstarch and whisk until it's smooth.
Add milk (about 2 cups) slowly to make a thick gravy-ish mixture.
Add 2-2 1/2 cups of shredded Parmesan and mix until it's melted.
Add more milk as needed until it's smooth and to the consistency that you want.
Pour cheese sauce over the sausage, carrots and broccoli and mix it up. Then serve over pasta of course.

I take a pound of extra lean ground turkey and cook it, using white cooking wine and light seasoning (i.e. Adobo, sale & pepper). Then I cook 2-3 cups of pasta. Once both are done, I'll either cheat and use Bertolli mushroom Alfredo sauce, or I'll make my own using cream, butter, garlic, pepper, real graded parmesan cheese, and then add sautéed mushrooms. I'll combine the cheese sauce, the pasta and the meat in a pot and stir over warm-medium heat. Bam! Delicious turkey alfredo mushroom pasta.

we had bbq pork chops. throw several chops into a crock pot...add a bunch of sauce and let them slow cook over a few hours. mash some taters and some veggies...green beans go well with this.
*on the topic of the ham....the best is one that is slow cooked in the oven. deli hams are ok, but nothing like slicing a big thick juicy ham steak off the bone.*
