The concept is pretty simple. Can you recall any songs you straight up fell in love with the very first time you heard them? Post them here!

City of the Sun - Live at the Factory EP

They're instrumental. I'd recommend Explosions or Second Sun. Those are my favorites off the EP.

I hope you actually listened. You didn't say which song you listened to; Jen didn't link to a particular one. I love instrumentals too, but no individual is going to love every single instrumental they hear.

I picked 'Explosions' and I'll rate it 5.5/10. I quite enjoyed it, but it felt a little too repetitive after a time, though I find I do tend to feel that way about a lot of instrumentals. Sometimes they're so beautiful it doesn't matter; sometimes they change it up just in time for it to be OK overall. This one was nice enough.

Jeff's song: 6/10 Not because I think it's better than City of the Sun's Explosions, but for what it is - i.e. not something I'd choose to listen to.

I don't really have a new favorite song I love ready, but I'll post one I think I like. Alex & Sierra - Little Do You Know. I think the video is powerful and the lyrics are heartbreaking and beautiful. So, at the very least I enjoy the song.

Do we have to vote? I fell in love with this thread because people could post their favorites and then I could steal the ones I loved as well. The voting can be awkward because I don't always have a new song to post, so I end up posting something random that I might like just so I have something to post. That and, my taste differs from other people's so the voting is rather arbitrary, no? Do we like the voting? Or can we do away with it and just post our favorites? Just a thought.
