wow, what a year... and now it's already the first of december again...

...well, Merry Christmas to ALL of you!

Just thought I'd quote John Lennon:

"And a very merry christmas,
and a happy new year.
Let's hope it's a good one,
without any tears..."

Hugs to all,

I wonder why so many people would suddenly say Merry Christmas....

well, the date might explain it... partially atleast...

ARGGGGHHHH!!!! Christmas is creeping up on me AGAIN! I'm never prepared...must go shopping...must lose a few pounds to make up for inevitable weight gain caused by walnuts, chocolate, nut roast and christmas pudding!!!

Happy Lion- Hanukah is a big Jewish festival, also in December - how come you've never heard of it?!

I don't give presents at christmas, it's not as if I have done anything to deserve presents, nor anyone else!! (cept for my mom, cause it's her birthday!!)

But I do wish you all a merry christmas (not now, in 23 days!!) and I hope you'll all find the courage to make your dreams come true!!

I also throw my hat ring for holiday cheer..because I'm naturally such a cheery person..heh.

Anyways, hopefully you get whatever you're asking for this year. And hopefully you get to spend the holidays with the people that mean the most to you. And remember, it's never too early to start shopping for me..that's why they keep all those "Everything's $1 store"s around!

ok this kinda indirectly has to do with christmas...........

k for the past 5 days or so in my profile in AIM i've had this written- Yay! its (#) day's left till christmas (etc etc) click here for Todays song
and when u click on the link it connects u to a Christmas song

So everyday I say to people when i'm talking to them in an instant message- ITS (#) DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS! TODAYS SONG IS (SONG NAME).

so i've been doing that for the past few days and my friend who now lives across the country says to me after i did it today "YOU ARE SUCH A FAGGOT" (not the gay type just the stupid kid type) and i sed "wow someones feeling shit-ful today" and he goes "no but ur a pain in the ass with this christmas shit" so i sed "rowr" and he blocked me. and i dont really care that he blocked me cuz he'll proabably un-block me eventually but wat pissed me off is that he's mad at me for being all christmasy and we used to have so much fun at christmas time and the fact that he called me a faggot and a pain in the ass wen we used to be such good friends. its just....... i dunno its just weird

yet (about christmas)

Christmas has lost its magic kinda...I fail to get excited like I did a few years ago even...I dunno! It just seems like more of a hassle!

I get excited... and your friend getting all pissed off at you about Christmas was really stupid. Sounds to me like he's miserable and thinks everyone else should be the same way so it is fair to him. Why a selfish lil' prick. *Pardon my French* I'm sure he'll get over it and when he does he better apologize. It seems like he went out of his way to be mean to you, and that's no friend.
Anyway I love Christmas cuz it's like the only holiday where most everyone participates. (In some form of ritual or something... eg. Hanukkah) It the time of year where family gets together.. like.. who do you know that has their entire family visit them on St. Patrick's day? (mmm green beer... oh right) So Christmas is great. Besides the fact you lose all your money to buying gifts but that's besides the point.

I suppose its good if family get together - although mine are actually more likely to get together on St.Patricks day! - it's an important event for the Irish or us of Irish origin, especially if they're living in somewhere like London *cough*cricklewood*cough* and are away from home.
What I meant about Christmas was that it was more fun when I got to have a christmas stocking, and wanted to run downstairs and open presents at 7am and stuff. I may not even be at 'home' this year and its just not as fun anymore !

Ally, St. Patrick's Day, quite frankly, rules. It just might be my actual favorite holiday. Though Arbor Day and National Strange Wacko Day are running neck-and-neck with it. And Irish potatoes..I could just live on them!

whoohoo! Someone who appreciates St.Patricks day! The pub at the edge of the estate I live on is an Irish pub and it sells really cheap guiness and everyone old enough gets drunk, and all my family congregate (the ones that aren't actually in Ireland)...its cool! The only bad part is that I feel obliged to wear green - I'm too pale! It tinges me green...I look like a little goblin. Still...St.Patricks day rules!

LOL Ally..yeah, that is very cool. I enjoy hitting an authentic Irish pub or two or three or four that day, and it has really gotten very popular here, especially over the past couple years. I think there's a whole lot of non-Irish types getting in on the party..but everyone knows it's the Irish that have the most fun..lol!

I didn't mean St. Patrick's day wasn't a huge event. I love it. Me having Irish roots. It's just that.. for my family anyway.. they don't come visit me here in Canada. I guess I should have specified. Because you're right. I didn't think of people maybe living closer to Ireland. But I love to wear green.. makes my eyes stand out even more.
