| The Reason by Hoobastank. I saw that on TV and the words do not match the video quite much? Do they?
I figured it was a sad song for a girl being mowed down and splattered before the asphalt, but it was a ruby they were after?? And then she gets up from the waking dead like "I am alive, BLAAAHH!" and gets up on this man's scooter and drives away.
Then they police find them at the end in the apartment place and that is how he feels the reason for him? Reason to be in jail?

| wow..... great song.
When I hear the lyrics, I can actually tell that a real person with real feelings wrote this song. I can't say that happens all that often in a world full of 'Toxic's and.... well, all songs in that vein. Not that there's anything wrong with those songs, but it is refreshing today to hear 'The Reason'.

| ok i am a huge fan of hoobastank and when i heard this song, i thought it was outstanding, but then i saw the video...and it totally ruined the affect...i thought it was going to be like a straight to the heart kind of video to go with the song, but a video bout a girl getting mauled down by a truck, then stealing a ruby or w.e and then riding of with a dude on a bike, just doesnt fit the song.,....great song...bad video  | | 0 @ 16-04-2004 00:04 fishmunky |

| Ha ha, rereading through the posts...I noticed something interesting. Everyone was agreeing on how good it was, and here comes along one brave person who says "Nope. It is annoying, do not like it". Suddenly a lot of people come out and say "yeah, it is bad".
I find nothing wrong there with it, but it is just interesting how the human psyche works. Someone has to break the ice for others to disagree too. Good job for bravery for whoever decided to be different and denounce it among a crowd of fans.

| I COULDN'T AGREE MORE! a while back i started a thread called videos that butcher beautiful songs...and well the idea came to me when i saw the vid for the reason..i mean the song is sooo beautiful and i love it so much..but then u see the video..and it just totally throws away how amazing the song is...cuz the video is crap..i mean it's well done..and directed and stuff..but it's just so random..and has nothing to do wit the actual lyrics...weird  |
