178 posts	If a girl hits a guy, I think the guy should be allowed to hit her back. But seing as though men are physically stronger than women, he shouldn`t hit as hard as he possible can.But yeah, why should we( the women) be allowed to hit men, whilst they just stand there and take the shit!!!

24,877 posts	Anyone hitting anyone is horrible, but I am strongly against domestic violence/abuse. I come from a line of strong women, and I will not put up with any crap. My great-grandmother killed my grandfather after he started abusing and raping her, and my grandmother told my grandfather the night that they were married that 'You can get away with beating me up--ONCE. But you have to go to sleep sometime.' And I KNOW that my mother will never take any crap from my dad, and fortunately she's never had to. But it's a shame that women stay with abusive husbands because they have no other place to go (or feel that they don't).

10 posts	i don't no man should hit a woman but it happens becasue it happens to me 2 weeks ago and 6 and 8 months the first time he hit me 2 times on arm just because i would not look at my husband when he was talking to me and the 2nd time slap my face for blowing out a candle and the 3rd time on the arm 3 times and it lift a mark i have now clue my husband say it wrong for a man to hit a woman but yet he does it to me

20,510 posts	meh. im definatly against it. but, under certain circumstances, ie: a woman hitting you as if she was trying to be a man, or her coming at you with some type of object, you have to put her down. and nothing violent, maybe just a push to the ground. no real hitting. its for your own personal safety.

10 posts	manutd_4ever and mikey_boys you have a good point if a woman puts her self in a man shoes or if the woman starts going crazy and the only way to calm her is hitting her maybe it be ok but not the way my husband does it not ok for to hit you if you blow out a canble like my husband did me and it not ok to hit you and if he drunk and your walking home feeding your baby and he walks up to you and hits you 3 times and it not ok for him to hit you because your fighting over a dog and it not ok if he hit you because you not put the baby diaper in the trash fast enough

2,772 posts	Bit of a pointless thread, as no-one in their right mind would think it's fine for a man to hit a woman for no apparent reason. However, if a woman hits the man first, then I think the man should be allowed to use a necessary amount of force in order to get her to stop, without being called a 'woman-beater' or other such things.

14,969 posts	my initial response to anyone, be them male or female, hitting me would be to stop them before hitting back. if they persist for however long then i'l hit them back, but never with any plausible amount of force - i dont like physically hurting people - it'd be more of a shoving-them-away type hit. in that sense yeh, id hit a girl. get what you give and all that

Who knows what could happen if he gets a little too mad one night, especially if there are kids involved. Please, for their sake, do something. Anyways... like most everyone else, i think it's wrong. A man should never take out his anger on a woman. There are other, less violent ways to deal with anger.
