4,508 posts	Thats wrong i despies men who hit there women.I know how a boy felt after he had beaten his women(not literally).He said that he felt so guilty and ashamed and started to cry.Ok thats not the point but yes i think its wrong.But sometimes women looks for a fight and when they get one they are always the first to cry,run and ores charges.I know cuz ive seen these kinda things.

245 posts	If a man beats up a woman regulary and the woman doesn't want to press charges or make a statment than the man gets away with it! even if another person who knows about it was to report it the man will still get away with it! People like this don't deserve to live if they can't control themselves they sud be locked up - its just not acceptible

2,132 posts	I don't think a man should ever touch a woman unless she wants him to. It's so disrespectful. For heaven's sake, we (women) produce life. Treat us as godesses people!....Ha, I was joking about the goddess thing ( it would be nice though)...But it is so low if a guy hits a woman. A woman should never touch a man also, that's low too. I believe that any violence, mostly physical violance, is so pointless. It is just sooooo pointless.

3,484 posts	Filo, I don't agree with you. I admit I have a smart mouth when it comes to arguing, I don't say much but when I do its poison. I'm really stubborn too, and alot of the guys I've dated, that really infuriated them. So when I'm arguing, as much as it may seem I'm trying to turn the fight into something bigger, I'm not. Its just the way I approach things when I'm on the verge of losing my temper. Now, if a guy isn't man enough to walk away from the fight and let the girl calm down, and instead hit her ... she's not allowed to complain because she was arguing back? I'm sorry ... but I've been hit before ... and its not fun ... and my instinct was to hit him back because I've been taught that, no matter what, no man has any right to touch me in any way unless I give him permission ...

1,050 posts	my dad used to hit my mom. he would hit her in front of his friends just so they could see him make her cry. now my dads in prison for being a serial rapist. he never raped my mom or me or anything coz after he picked me up and threw me across the room by my hair my mom left. and she's raised me not to put up with anyones sh*t. thats why she used to cheer me on when i got into fights and she'd never punish me. so then i'd know that if anyone hits me then to hit them right back.

13,961 posts	It's not a "men hit women every time and that's the way it is" issue. Women hit men too. Some women are bigger than men and could easily beat them up. In relationships, some men are abused, not the abusers. It goes both ways. Typically the female is abused, but not always. I think, like many people already said, it's a "nobody should touch you without your consent" and nobody should get in your personal space, whether you're a female or a male. So, answering the question, it's not right for a man to hit a woman, nor a woman to hit a man.
