We were talking about this in Religion class... There's 3 types of genocide in the USA:
1. Abortion
2. Capital Punishment
3. Euthanasia
I think its sad the way these ppl are being killed just for being who they are... Anyone in here up for Capital Punishment? 'cause I never really was sure about that one. |

| Abortion's been argued in this forum since its insertion nearly 3 years ago, and a year and a half ago I met some of my closest forum friends arguing over it. In other words, its old news, and I don't feel it needs to be re-argued here, but the simple fact that most people were able to agree on is that it is impossible to tell when life actually begins, therefore, the fetus' that are aborted can't be 'killed' for who they are, because they aren't anything yet. Once again, this was more or less the public opinion last time this topic was argued, if you want to argue it again, then jump in on a few of the abortion topics that currently exist.
Now, for the means of genocide, abortion focus' on an extremely miniscule percentage of the worlds current mothers, therefore it can't be the extermination of an entire group because not every pregnant women has her fetus aborted, and I'm guessing the majority of women who have abortions aren't forced to.

i totlay agree, and lets start with the small milk cartons they serv in schools and prisons, i mean come on. look at the violence in school, where there is a school there is Milk !!
look at the prison, almost every morning before the riots started, the prisoners were serverd Milk.
am i the olny one who sees it  the kids in colombine, had milk in their wheeties that morning.
please i impar you all. we must BAN milk, it is the cause of all evil.

| Schizo, Mariah and I have debated against this too, and she may have changed her opinion since then, but mine remains the same, I am neither for nor against it. It seems like a simple solution, plus it helps to instill fear in criminals knowing that there is a punishment to mimic their crime, it just costs too much. I heard its something like $30-40K just to execute one person. I'm sure we could find a way to make it more cost efficient. But anyway, I personally think its just if it fits the crime, like pre-meditated homicide or something of the sort. Outside of that, then no.
