| Nice call pesh...I agree, go out and get your voice heard. Just because we're not electing a president doesn't make it any less important. | 0 @ 04-11-2002 22:42 egg | 840 posts

| Ok, I'm not from US as you know, so I'm curious, what do you have to vote about? | 0 @ 05-11-2002 15:33 Zenmaster | 1,255 posts
| It's basically a vote depending on your area. Over half of the 50 states have state senators to elect, and there are also some state representative seats and many individual local elections depending on the area. Basically it's just electing House and Senate members..that probably didn't clear much up... | 0 @ 05-11-2002 19:50 Plantagenet | 12,864 posts
| No, you did clear it! It's just I was confused, cause in Belgium and most of other european countries, parliament & the ministers are chosen at the same time, cause in Belgium the parliament decide who becomes a minister. Thanks!! | 0 @ 06-11-2002 16:20 pesh_is_fresh | 1,053 posts
| O in the US our Senators have 6 year terms and each state has two senators. Basically most every state had one senator in an election this year. Elections of senators are therefore staggered since presidential elections happen every four years. We also had state governor elections is some states...other states like mine have the governor elections during pres. elections b/c governors are elected every four years as well. Kinda confusing...and then we have House elections as well. haha |
