No more football till August after today...hopefully the AFC will stay ahead. Now I have to wait till April for the draft...that should be exciting, the 03 class is a really talented class.
Also, the Terry Tate commercials were great...he effin rules.

I used to be a hardcore baseball fan, we had Mets season tickets, but after they made it to the Series in 2000, they tried to jerk us around, even though they lost, so we got rid of em, I still follow baseball, but the game is dying, for a lot of reasons, no salary cap, no revenue sharing, etc...and after the whole roid usage thing came out, I havnt been as much as a baseball fan.

Also, ever since I got serious into my football career Ive paid less attention to baseball.

Yeah I understand what you mean. I hope i didn't give you the impression that i didn't respect your opinion cause thats not what I meant. I was just giving my opinion and I'm a baseball player! I do also love watching football and playing pickup!

Haha no not at all...I didnt think you meant any disrespect, I used to play baseball a lot, but, haha, as I grew, my body became more accustomed to football, so I got more serious into football, I naturally starting allocating more attention to it...I still love baseball, and play on a co-ed softball team over the summer while Im doing my football off season work out.

Even with the compromised nature of the game...I thought the Pro Bowl was still pretty exciting, even though the NFC won.

i can't even explain my devotion and love for the mets...

and by the way i love pro and college football too but i hate the pro bowl. They change all the rules...Corners can't press, Line backers can't blitz, no blocking field goals, and no corner up- safety back zones...

they should play it like a real game...

and btw i can't wait till baseball...

mets open up at home against the braves...i might go up and check it out but living in PA its hard to get to a lot of games..

Yeah, being in college made it hard to get to Jets game this season, especially with my football schedule, I havnt had season tix in 4 years, but I always make it out to at least 3 Mets games over the summer.

I agree about the Pro Bowl...the rules water down the game, especially the rules against the double zone, corners cant press till the ball is on the 5 yard line, man blocking on the line...etc
But I love gettin to see guys like Ray Lewis play, in my opinion, hes the most athletic person currently in pro sports.

Cant wait till the draft

ray lewis like him or not is phenomenal.. the afc had so much intensity in their linebackers alone.. lewis, takeo, bulluck...ray is just dominant.. Surefire hall of famer..

yeah im a jets fan too...Mets and jets... Ive liked the falcons for a while now too...Mainly because of Vick who in my opinion IS the best athlete in sports

I teeter between Vick and Lewis...but between those 2, it doesnt get any better, I firmly belive they are unmatched in athleticism by anyone else playing pro sports.

They clocked Vick at the combine on more than one occasion running sub 4.25 40 yd dash times...I cant even comprehend how fast that is, my best time was clocked this August during pre season at 4.91

Yeah, Im a Mets and Jets guy...got my fingers crossed for Sean Taylor or Jonathon Vilma in the 1st round.

vilma is a good possibility but i think taylor will go top 10

Vilma's pretty solid, I like Richard Siegler from Oregon too...and Rod Mitchell is another possibility, maybe in the 2nd or 3rd round
They need to draft a D-Back or Middle Linebacker in the 1st round who's gonna start next year

The Pro Bowl is the only All Star Game I like, the only thing good about the Baseball All Star is the HR Derby, and Hockey just sucks everything about it.

This is true....but you have to at least sympathize with why they mellow down the Pro Bowl...if they had all the line stunts and blitzes, just think of a blitzing Ray Lewis hitting Michael Vick from the backside of the play and putting a career ending tackle on him...I dont think thats anything they wanna risk in the Pro Bowl.

i'd rather have no pro bowl but still elect players and call them pro bowlers The pro bowl is usually boring and mellowed down so it doesn't seem like a real game...

I dunno, I still think its fairly exciting...not as exciting as playoff games or division games, but its still good to watch, plus, after the pro bowl, no true football till NFL Europe, if you watch that.

The AFL is pretty exciting too

This is true. Baseball takes incredible hand-eye coordination. Whats amazing are the people like Bo Jackson who could play football and baseball.

Also, are we the only 2 friggin sports fans on the whole forum?
