Do you believe that celebrities are role models? I don't. People were slamming Britney Spears for getting married as a mistake. Saying that her fans would follow her footsteps. By the time many of her fans are old enough to get married Britney and her marriage will be nought but a memory.

Anyone agree?

But they even slam them for smoking, drinking and having piercings. It annoys me cause its like their saying we don't have minds of our own and stuff.

little kids (like the 7-12 age group) really pay attention to what they idols do, and they think whatever they do is cool...when i was 7-12 i listened to music, but i didnt really watch it because my parents wanted me to think for myself..but now we have those kids watching 5 hours of mtv a day and the celebs arent making a really good impression

Kids wouldn't took them as role models if they had real models near them, but in this times were parents aren't at home as much as they should small kids just look up to someone they think it's cool... but a celebrity isn't a role model, it's just a simple human being that can make mistakes too....

I don't think they should be taken as role models, they are just common people with some fame and money... kids need real models, those who really deserve been admired, and that can only be taught by someone guiding them...

see, i hate it when they worry about teenagers, maybe, when you're like, 8, you'll think it's really cool whatever your idols do, but once you grow up, and stop being so impressionable, you realise they're only human beings and they can do what they like,

but still, they banned people like britney and christina A, for wearing skimpy clothes on TV, like do they honestly believe we'll see them and go "Ooh,look what britney is wearing, i must copy her, lets walk down the street in our underwear!" please.
