ok, with all the respect to the usually writers+ original performares, sometimes the cover is better.. not always, most of the time there's nothing like the original.. anyway:

what cover is better then the original?

mxpx cover of i get around (even though i dont even like mxpx this is a good one)
Pennywise does a lot of good covers

me first and the gimme gimmes are a cover band and they have a lot of really good ones.

I like NFG's cover of...ok, now I can't even think of it.

And I like No Doubt's cover of "It's My Life"

And Goldfinger's "99 Red Balloons" is good, but I still like the original best.

I like some covers, but i have yet to hear one that is better

Feeder's cover of The Police's Can't Stand Losing You is excellent
Sterophonics cover of Sinead O Connor's Nothing Compares 2 u is..different..
Ryan Adams cover of Oasis's Wonderwall is excellent, considering it's a classic
All Jamie Cullum covers are excellent

Wow, is that Gary Jules tune a cover? I love it. I heard it this summer and bought the Donnie Darko DVD just for the Mad World music video. It's such an awesome song they just started playing it on the radio. So yeah, I guess I like that one, lol.

I usually like the original hands down, but it also depends, I usually like the version I hear first the best.

I'm surprised about "Love You Like A Love Song". I thought that was an original song by Cats On Trees and I was wrong. Haven't heard of Selena Gomez's version before. Is her version laid-back too? Who did the original? Must be an old one. It can't be Selena but another singer before her.

No, I can't believe that Selena performed the original song. Keep her away from French radios. She didn't compose this song (Antonina Armato, Tim James).

Ah, yes I found who sang the original. Tiffany Alvord!
