There isn't much to work with but here you go:

I most likely heard it a few times on a soft rock radio station. The song Brother Louie by the Stories used to get mixed up in my head with it because I had heard them around the same time a few months ago.

I'm sure it is a male singer and he sings high. There is part of the verse that may be 'sweet devotion' or something like that. No it isn't Steven Tyler.
