Wanted! English native speaker for misheard lyrics

| some guys and me having a discussion about lyrics from the faithless-song "like ice in the sunshine". we know the 'official' lyrics from some lyric-websites BUT we hear it in a different way. The central issue is that we are germans and hear it as a german phrase but we are doubtful if its because he sings german or our brain fools us.
please listen to it, tell me what it sounds like for you as an english native speaker without looking for the lyrics.
