67 posts	i see a thread called best band EVER... and i see linkin park, nfg etc. picture 20 years from now.. do u really think they will stand the test of time? i applaud rass.. for saying the beatles... a band that can be dubbed the best band EVER.. in my personal opinion, its impossible to choose a single band that is the best EVER... but you should choose bands that have influenced and shaped music, and therefore my choice of best bands EVER are: pink floyd, beatles, led zeppelin, black sabbath.. all of these bands have changed music in some way.. im not sayin that its not good music... everyone is entitled to their opinion.. im just using logic and sense.

3,524 posts	personally, i think silverchair are the best band ever. (you probably saw that coming...) and yes i can back it up. they started out in 1994, almost ten years ago, so they have proved that they can stand the test of time. they have changed their musical style so dramatically over each of their four albums. from the likes of the heavy rock in the first album to the orchestral sound in the latest album (does that make sense?) but unfortuneately they are not really well known in any country except australia. (apparently the rest of the world cant see how talented they are...except a few people like me) i'm gonna shut up now and that had nothing to do with new found glory or linkin park but oh well, sorry!

3,524 posts	ok i just read over this thread and i would like to change my post to say that i think silverchair are the best band around today. even i have to admit that there are other bands such as the beatles that are more fitting for the title best band ever. but thats not to say that i think the beatle make better music..... did that make sense? i am finished posting in this thread now...sorry.
