| I had to learn the head, shoulders, knees & toes song, and as far as I know, every pre-schooler knows the Bingo song...
So...it's not just kids learning English as a second language who learn the silly songs; kids learning English as a first language use the songs, too. | 0 @ 14-11-2003 15:15 Plantagenet | 12,864 posts

| yay, a meeeeeeeeeeeeemories moment!!
when I was young my mom nought me a video casette that helps teaching English. it told the story of a king and a queen who had a single daughter and a gardner, and the daughter and gardner fell in love, but somebody convicted the gardner for stealing some fruits fom the garden (ooh the humanity) and so he was put in prison, but then got out when it was proven he was innocent bla bla bla and they lived happily ever after. btw- the all story is told from the view of an alien. never claimed it was a good story. anyways, in one part the princess and the gardner drive on bicycles through the town, singing this little love song, that helps remember the vowls. I love it dearly and remembers it till this very day. goes like this-
e a o i u I love you!
a i o u e you're loving meeeeeeee!
