Any communities that actually discuss music?

Just wondering if anyone knows where there is a good music community that actually discusses music instead of all the threads and things. Not been on here long, but it seems this is a site that really does not do much with music. It also seems a little young on here with people typing messages to others about their threads, beliefs, or whatever. Lot of computer tough guys it seems on here.

Thanks for that. I will definitely go check it out! I need to talk to some people within the hip hop community. I have a label and we just released one of our artists third solo albums and it is great. I have got to get it out to some people!

check this out

you can create a profile for your label over at last.fm and upload samples and stuff like that. oh and you get paid when people listen to the songs - that's how it differs from myspace. you should look into that.

We have just opened one up on ursession.com. I am liking it so far. I will check out the last fm one as well. We are getting ready to have it on itunes and cd baby, but I need a way to advertise it on the web. We can't keep them around here, but we have been getting them out around here for years. This is the album that is going to make it and I have to get this out.

Hi URO, i´m thinking the same thing, if this forum is about music, and i`m still searching a site where people chat about british pop, electronic, new wave, etc.

Each artist has its own discussion section on his/her own page, not to mention the hundreds of threads pertaining to music here on LSI if one simply goes to the trouble of searching for it.

But I'm assuming you're looking for a place where people only agree with your views, not just a music based forum, since your one thread got shot to pieces

Actually Punk Rock whatever! I am not on here to have "popular threads" or anything like that. My life is not based around people answering threads of mine to make me the top 50 or whatever it is that you do on here. My purpose was to find out what forums have people who understand music and are open to discussing their likes and dislikes or opinions. I don't need people to share the same views that I do because if we all agreed on everything the world would be a pretty boring place wouldn't it? Considering you know nothing about me or any agendas that I have I think that you should not worry so much about being so negative towards others. I understand that you probably sit on here all day and night and try to make the "top 50" with your "so cool" threads, but there are actually adults in the world that just want to discuss all kinds of music and hear other peoples thoughts. Don't be one of those people who feel better by talking trash to someone that you know you are never going to run into in your life. Anyway, thanks to all the folks that had some ideas of forums to visit and I hope that you all have found some spots you are looking for. I will keep searching and let you know what I find to pass the time at work.

Then start threads about music.

Its not like its illegal or anything to do so.

Your initial post was pretty negative itself, I'm surprised anyone helped you. And I wouldn't go using the 'you don't know me' routine and then try to assume you know how the other person acts, it makes you look like an idiot.

For alot of people this is a place to pass time at work/school/whatever whether its about music or not. So why's it matter how long anyones on here for?

Thank you for proving my point. I disputed with facts your argument that the LSI forum does not contain discussions of music (after you yourself mentioned you hadn't been here long enough to potentially realize that) and you immediately didn't like that I felt opposed to your opinion.
