I'm doing a school project and need to come up with disadvantages or problems related to music. So far, I came up with:

    -Illegal downloads
-People responding to lyrics and acting upon them (shooting people, taking drugs, etc.)

    I need help.

If you have it too loud in a neighbor your neighbors can get upset and call the cops or fight with you.

there's also something about an increase in the number of people getting ran over by cars because they're too distracted with their ipods.

I guess what some songs are about.

Like if they promote violence, sex, cheating, etc.

That's what first came to my mind too.

Music can cause stereotyping. If people here aren't being judged on their appearance then they're being judged on what music they listen to, (although often they relate - e.g. I wear baggy jeans and therefore the kids assume I'm into rock music), which can lead to more serious bullying; especially in places in which people know your business (what music you listen to in this case), like school.

Keep in mind that those people already have mental problems to begin with if their sole reason for killing people is based on a movie, game or music.

Mmm, I don't know if I agree with that (for everyone who does it).
