| im against the death penalty.. you would basically be doing to them exactly what you are trying to stop them from doing.. if that makes any sense?? i think they should threaten the death penalty... phsyc them up for it.. get them completely phsycologically ready for their death, take them to a 'room' .... give them the 'injection' but only like one to sedate them... then shove them in a small room for life.. no pool, no telly.. just food, water and exercise. they can only come out when they (a) die of natural causes. | i understand what youre saying gary, but i dont agree. i think in doing that, people will resalise they can get away with it. i dont see why mass murderers, for example, should get away with just prison. especially the killers of little kids. i think it should be a life for a life kind of situation. i know that sounds cruel, but do people who have killed numerous people, classrooms of kids and people they dont even know, really deserve to live on this planet, alongside other human beings? even after theyve destroyed the lives of their victim AND their families? because i dont. i know that sounds heartless, but the article about the man that killed all those innocent children in their own classroom really upset me. also that ryan person that went around the streets killing random people carrying out their innocent day to day business. he killed loooads of epople... why should people like that still be allowed to live when they have wrecked the lives of so many? | | 0 @ 31-03-2006 12:39 poisonbrain |

| Because - how can somebody stand up, say "Killing is wrong", kill someone and then expect people to believe it? This is nothing but legalized killing. It's a way for people to play God, and it is nothing but hypocricy. If nothing else, I think that it is enough that one innocent person is killed for it to be too much. | people in favour of death penalty always take views from family of the victim of a murder or people leading peaceful lives...
but what if suspects were innocent??
there's no such cruel thing to be sentenced to death when they are not guilty. they say they rarely arrest a wrong person but we are human we make mistakes. in japan there are many cases of false accusation reported but i believe there are lot more than reported.
i am not sure i can still oppose to the penalty if my loved ones got killed by someone but you can never be sure about anything too...we can't take their lives back once we've taken em away... but i do understand when people talk about the cost to maintain jails and if that's worth paying taxes when our money is spent on people who have comitted crimes. we have to think of ways to rehabilitate criminals... then we can say our taxes are not wasted i guess. | | 0 @ 10-10-2006 14:07 suzieblue | 111 posts
| I am in total favor of the death penalty... I think if you think you are big enough and tough enough to kill someone and take someone's life, bring greif to their family, people who love them, people who could have loved them, they should be killed also... and I say they should be killed like someones hiring a hit man, but i mean the situation need to be handled professionally. lethal injection, i think is the best way to do it. i sound like i don't care about anyone and i'm a death kinda person when to tell you the truth, i love and care for people so much. like i wish the world, or at least America, was a place for people to get a long and love each other as if there was no tomorrow because that's how it should be which is exactly why people who kill other people don't deserve to live. | | 0 @ 10-10-2006 19:34 mikey_boy | 20,467 posts
| keep it. infact, impose it more. honestly, i could care less for 1. the people who deserve it and did something to deserve it. and 2. the people who deserve it but havent been prosecuted with a crime. there are so many decays of society, what purpose do they have being here? besides to bring down the rest of us. we're all equal is a lie. if it was true, there wouldnt be classes. there'd be no low and high class. we'd all be the same. so respecting your fellow man arguement is thrown out the window. hence, kill more.  |
