| i don't think we should. i think that people who truely deserve it should be given that option. like the bali bombing those people should not be sent to prison they should die they have killed hundreds of people why should they have the right to live when those innocent people didn't have that option or the twin towers. it's no good smaking them on the hand and telling them not to do it again. how will people ever learn from that . they won't. if it was your family would you really want the people responsible walking around with there head held high because they lituraly got away with it. death is the option for people like that.

| but, if they're bad for killing, what makes the people that decide to puth the criminals to death any better? | 08-11-2003 17:20 Rass | 5,430 posts
| hm, i'm torn with this debate thinger, sometimes i say we need the deathpanalty for exactly the reasons raven said, on the other hand it makes us no better than them, if we kill a killer are we not a killer ourselves? i dont know what the punishment should be but i dont think it should be death, for one reason death is too good for some of them, death is too good for those involved with the two towers, they dont deserve that kind of release or anything, they deserve torture, but yeah i dont know where i really stand on this, it's a tough call, it all depends | 08-11-2003 17:21 Mercedes | 2,463 posts
| i think some ppl DESERVE to die, but i don't think we should be the ones to judge, no matter wat they're crime. i mean, the inmates will make them go down anyways. | 08-11-2003 17:21 ravenskiss | 7,497 posts
| well there not it's human nature to kill.but if the person really deserved it why should they live. the person who kills them well thats there job isn't it | 08-11-2003 17:23 Rass | 5,430 posts
| yeah its their job, but take into the fact of this, one man kills someone, he is given the death penalty, his blood is on more than one persons hands, his blood is on EVERYONE that was involved with his sentence, the jury, the judge, the lawyers and witnesses, the person who puts him to death | 08-11-2003 17:24 blueeden | 428 posts
| The worst punishment for someone is to be deprived from his freedom . That' s why I think that being jailed for a whole life is the best thing to do to killers or else . | 08-11-2003 17:24 DaRkSiDe | 21,558 posts

| i dont agree with that, ever heard of someone being jailed for like 30 or 40 years and then being let out? know what happens? they can't deal with the freedom, the prison was their home, they want back in, they can't deal with being on their own they need that confinement, they develope a phobia ya know? | 08-11-2003 17:26 Rass | 5,430 posts
| ah no but see i'm already condemmed so i would just kill him on my own, either that or one of my surviving family would, theres too many of us to kill em all ah how i love being part of a family that works like frickin pikeys | 08-11-2003 17:27 ravenskiss | 7,497 posts

| something else: did you relise how many innocent people are being put to death? Note that in a lot of countries where they have death penalties, they don't have a court as we know it...a lot of those people are political oposition silenced....
and, there are also a lot of street children killed by that.... | 08-11-2003 17:29 Rass | 5,430 posts
| everyone deserves a second chance...everyone deserves to start over and try again, i believe that everyone deserves that, no matter what crime they have commited i believe they deserve another chance...okay not whatever crime, just any crime that is like murder or something, not a huge serious thing like with the twin towers or pedophilia rape or something...but ya know those guys that are put in prison for that, the other convicts take care of the, there are some things even convicts wont stand for, and they will kill them on their own, painfully | 08-11-2003 17:29 blueeden | 428 posts
| Anyway that' s not the human being' s role to decide either someone deserves to die or not : that' s why criminal are punished . | 08-11-2003 17:29 ravenskiss | 7,497 posts
| what i'm saying is that people who have killed shouldn't be alowed to live. but then again innocent people shouldn't die for what other people did . every case should have a proper trial | 08-11-2003 17:30 ravenskiss | 7,497 posts

| tigers dont have spots and yes i believe they can, if the murder one person, maybe even two, that doesn't mean they are going to keep killing peopel over and over, it they're a mass murderer then that's different | 08-11-2003 17:32 blueeden | 428 posts
| I agree with you Planta !!! & look at those journalists who are killed every year just because they show a sad/violent reality | 08-11-2003 17:32 ravenskiss | 7,497 posts
| so your saying that if a guy kills a person says he's truely sorry and will never do it again we should forgive him
kisses
raven | 08-11-2003 17:35 Rass | 5,430 posts
| no that aint what i'm saying, i'm saying he shouldn't be killed for it, it makes us no better and i dont want to sound all religious and crap but doesn't it say somewhere that god said everyone deserves a second chance? (or something of that nature) i dont think they shouldn't be punished, but not killed | 08-11-2003 17:37 ravenskiss | 7,497 posts
| but what if he kills again what then. we put our trust in this person and he kills again how can that be justice?

| Raven has a good point. Once someone has killed a perosn, how can we ever truly trust him/her again? It's not like we can put a radio collar on them, there are ways to get around that.
And what about serial killers who will never stop murdering until they're dead? If we just give them all life sentences, what happens when they manage to escape? Be cause trust me, these guys are smart, no matter what bullshit about insanity their lawyers might tell us. | 08-11-2003 17:40 Rass | 5,430 posts
| do you know how many people kill in america alone? you want to kill all of those people? just kill them all, straight up, no second chance at all, no 'rehabilitation' no nothing, you know how many people murder, go to jail and then are released? lots, they take precautions to watch these people, their name is NEVER out of the system and they're almost constantly watched at first, and it isn't like they got to prison a year or two and then get out, it's lots more than that, and take into account the treatment they do get in prison, it is a punishment and i do believe that just cause you killed once, as is human nature, lets no forget it is human nature to kill even if we have morals to hold us back, every animal kills naturally, but just because y ou killed once doesn't mean y ou are a man eatting tiger that will ust kill every chance you get |
