| Although the band is often classified as psych folk or noise rock, it is hard to define the Animal Collective sound as they often experiment with new styles and ideas.
This basically means they try to be unique and "artsy", but their music sounds like a retarded 5 year old banging on pots and pans. It lacks anything of actual substance.
If you like this, you are a pretentious asshole with no taste. Cut and dry. |

| judging by this, grizzly bear and the fiery furnaces wouldn't be considered music too. well, newsflash: it may not be music to you, but as long as experimental rock, noise rock and psychedelic are considered music genres, animal collective is music. |
