Not sure - I generally stay pretty clear of them - give me 'Disney Magical Racers' or 'Bugs Bunny and Taz's Time adventure' any day

...in fact, I think I'll go play Toy Story 2 right now.

I'm not offended by violent video games. I quite enjoy them, in fact.

Humanity is violent by nature anyway - violent video games just allow us to satisfy those urgings without having to harm anyone else in the process.

If you have poll suggestions you consider interesting, submit them.

"Anyone thinking that they encourage people to do stupid things or act the way they act are stupid and should realize that if this person is acting in a way that is bad, it's nobody else's fault but their own."
Although I believe it's not the case for the majority of people, I think you're wrong and are being a little ignorant by saying this, at least in calling people "stupid" for thinking that the violence in media like video games isn't somewhat responsible for the actions of some criminals. There's been at least one study I know of directly linking to video games and you hear of individual cases on the News and such. Of course, I think there are other factors involved like someone's background/upbringing, personality, morals, beliefs and maybe mental stability but sometimes all they need is to see the violence in a game or programme and see that, in it, it's encouraged and/or perhaps doesn't have consequences, feel the pleasure they get out of performing violent/criminal acts in the game and then know they want to act it out for real to gain more satisfaction or because doing it in the game isn't even satisfying enough.
Like a stimulus-response thing. I pretty much agree with Behaviourists in those cases.

Not really. The whole point of a game is that fact that it isn't real. What does annoy me in games are things like Racism; as if the fact it's a game gives it some kind of excuse to do it.

I am not offended by them, but I don't agree that humans are violent by nature and that games satisfy an urge (they do in a way, but the dosage is getting too high)

The abundancy oversaturates your natural senses which numbs you and influences your natural instincts (which goes for every stimulant: alcohol, smoking, chocolate, working out, porn) and eventually disables your natural protection against saturation. That leaves you with a more or, in most cases less, out-of-order social behaviour.

This won't change most people, but there are some whose social behaviour is going to be severely damaged. Not all are going to become serial killers .. to say however that there is no connection at all is putting your head into the sand (as several studies have proven).

It's actually the same as with all other stimulants: it all depends on the right (individual) dosage. Some become alcoholics and some not .. some shovel tons of sweets into their body and some not

I don't personally find them offensive, but I think there is too much violence in games etc, as it numbs people to things like killing. As Dagor said, it doesn't affect everyone, but it seems to me that if someone is used to seeing people in video games die without caring, they'll find it harder to care about people in general.
Also, I dislike video games in general, as too many people become unhealthily obsessive (excellent video). Although, I can't really talk as I'm a computer addict, but I at least amn't on it all my free time
However, I don't personally find video games offensive, unless they're racist, or really too far.

i hate bringing back old polls, but this is only a couple days.

considering the last 2-3 months all i've played is Call of Duty 4 and more recently Grand Theft Auto 4, i'd say no.

however, recently since playing Call of Duty i have noticed myself being a little more on edge when out places, almost like paranoia looking around to see where people could snipe me. i feel almost like JFK. i blame the game, however, i could just be going crazy.
