The following is a paid broadcast from Stanley...
*insert commercial jingle*
Please, people, lets not forget what the great HappyLion said when he first opened this thread back in '22...
Tired of "favorite..."s and "hate..."s?
Tired of religious wars?
Tired of disputes over words like "gay"?
Feeling random...?
Or are you just one of those people who don't make any sense anyway...?
THEN DROP BY THE RANDOMNESS, THE PLACE WHERE YOU CAN JUST GET THAT WEIRDNESS OFF YOUR MIND!
-----------------------R U L E S-------------------------
1. Posts in this forum (with this one as a possible exception...) may make no sense whatsoever!
2. Try to read all existing posts before posting a new one...
3. DO NOT USE MORE THAN 3 SMILEYS PER POST!
4. BE ORIGINAL!
5. Have fun for Christ's sake!
6. (Don't) Spam!

I'm supposed to assist my mother but she is so bad at explaining what it is I should do and how. And I refuse to guess cause whatever I do, it's wrong. It takes a lot of patience | 0 @ 12-05-2008 09:23 Dagor | 33,246 posts
| I could have a blackberry from work, but I refuse to have one. Being available 24/7 is overrated. People should learn to live with the fact that they just can't contact people the moment it randomly crosses their mind. If they're a bit more disciplined they will notice that they can use their brains and actively think about it in advance if they will have to contact someone and not wait until it crosses their mind by chance.
If you're in the supermarket and standing in front of the milk and calling your partner to ask if you need milk, it means that you've been too lazy to think about it to check the fridge before you left.
And the same thing goes for work. | 0 @ 12-05-2008 09:52 Juliet86 | 7,717 posts
| The end of civilized society, by phone
Maybe not quite, but it reminded me of a speech I once heard about how mp3 players did that. A really good speech. I had a bit of a crush on the guy giving the speech though, that helped
Where was I going with this?
Right. I like being available. If I don't answer when someone calls maybe we don't end up talking that day. But I'm not a slave to my phone either | 0 @ 12-05-2008 10:17 Dagor | 33,246 posts
| I like being available to a point .. but not if the same colleague phones you 5 times a day every day to ask you something. | 0 @ 12-05-2008 10:28 Juliet86 | 7,717 posts
| That sounds annoying. Maybe you should stop having all the answers then
Stupid computer, why can't I type? I mean, I obviously can, but it's annoying | 0 @ 12-05-2008 10:50 nanki_c | 14,313 posts

Unless you did check but you have a memory problem .
Little late but good morning (afternoon) Bruna. Busy day of doing nothing but revision and slowly dying inside all day (from the torture). And going to the bank. | 0 @ 12-05-2008 11:24 indiechick_ | 8,573 posts
| i know i'm not having a very sociable day when i walk down the street and take pleasure in imagining other people's head exploding. | 0 @ 12-05-2008 11:26 Joeyy | 2,879 posts
| Aw, you don't wanna imagine that happening when you're around (maybe watching from a window instead) because an eye or some part might land on you. | 0 @ 12-05-2008 11:32 indiechick_ | 8,573 posts
| well but then at least they'd drop dead already and let me through instead of slowly walking in front of me and blocking my way. i mean sure, go ahead, take forever to walk - it's not like i have to go anywhere anyway. | 0 @ 13-05-2008 08:11 Juliet86 | 7,717 posts
