LSI doesn't have a mailing adress, so where to send postcards when you're on vacation? This thread of course! Write a little "Hello from *insert vacation spot here*, the weather is blah blah blah, and I've been there and there and done this and this". Then post a few pics of where you are (or were, if you do it after you get back)

Or just use as vacation pic thread, without the postcard part.

Soo, um, I guess I should use the thread?

I just got back from Nice (like two hours ago, I'ma pretend I'm still there, ok?)
The weather is wonderful, sunny and a perfect temperature.
This is our hotel. Nah, just kidding, this is it.
On Friday we had lunch at Chez Lou-Lou, mom's regular place from the 70's, still run by the same family.
He kept turning his head when I wanted him in profile (forgive me if it's a girl bird, what do I know?)
And can anyone ask for a better lunch view than this?

from Lisa

something i saw on youtube made me think that we lsi pple should write a big community postcard. like, someone writes a few words on a postcard, then they send it to a person from lsi they have the address of, then the person writes something on the postcard, then sends it to someone else and so on.. and in the end the card comes back to me (of course), i scan it and everyone can see the wonderful card that went all around the world, with everyones lil handwritten note on it. i like that idea

what can I say ...

well, yes, you can send postcards. The idea is though that you are on a vacation and sending one from there. Nobody really sends postcards from where they live.

And I think we should start with the life postcard.

I suggest the following. Someone (person A) buys a postcard.

If A has the address of B, A should make sure that B is going to continue it and send it.

If A does not have an address, he/she can ask someone for an address he/she trusts. I myself would give my address to a number of persons per PM, but not to everyone. Again, this person should be willing to continue the thing.

Person A can be Carole if she wants to, but I would be glad to buy one as well. And I would PM my address to Carole, if she needs it.

It would take more than one postcard for all of it. Would it be a good idea to make a Europeans a North American one, and an asian one (if need be) get them going, then at the end send them all to carole or whoever warts to put them all together?

Daniel makes a good point. Theres not that many people here i'd be happy giving my actual home address too.. So i'd have to follow someone i trust lol.

The postcards around the world sounds like a wonderful idea, but we have to be realistic.
I'm sure many people here would make excellent stalkers, but who wants to take that chance? Besides James, of course.

^^ That was the smarter side of me. The real me says we find a way to make this work and actually do it!

Well we'd only send it to those that are actually regulars and seem reliable, duh! It can't be that hard to distinguish them.
And yeah, that means I'd like to join!
Unless I'm considered a stalker. >_>
I like weapons, after all! mwahaha!

About stalking ... I agree that people under 18 should be very reluctant to give out their address .. on the other hand, giving out my address (which is in the book anyway) to someone in the states for instance seems pretty free of risk. If he/she wants to take all the effort to come to my place and stalk me, I would even offer him/her cake and tea. Still, I will only give it to people I trust.

*looks around* .. hmmm .. they all look suspicious to me

no stalkers? damnit, i guess im out

but really, for some strange reason, i seem to trust most of the regulars. and anyway, who would want to stalk a borring fat guy who lives at least 500 miles from anyone on here. i'm definately in

I understand what you're getting at, about the regulars being trusted, but what about people like me?

I used to be "a regular", then I disappeared, and now I'm on every day [[I have no life]].

So if I can, I'm in, but if not, it's still a good idea.

if you were a regular and someone else i trust can tell me i should trust you, then i sure would

stalkers are welcome. it's not like i have many friends in this country anyway, so if anyone goes through the trouble of stalking me, i'd give them cake and tea as well. there's a room that's not being used in my flat as well. the stalker could even crash here for the night.

I would say ask any one of my friends on here if you could trust me....but they seem to have run away as well.

But I have never...been caught....stalking anyone.

: )

But if that's what it takes to get tea and cakes from ya'll.........
