of course recorded music sounds better on a cd, artists can do as many takes as possible to get the track to sound perfect. But there is nothing more powerful than a live acoustic performance. It separates the true artists from the mere entertainers.

The recorded version always sounds better, but I'd go to a concert over listening to a CD anyway... No question!

Recorded music on a cd sounds better...indeed!!!But only in a concert you can really enjoy your favourite singer, dj or band...Both choices have pros and cons!!!

For me, live music because you get to experience the artist. In York, where I live, we have a great small venue where I go most, and you can often get right to the front, it only holds about 150 people. A couple of times I've ended up onstage with the band or carrying them stagediving.

However, for sound qualtiy & convineince (sp?) a CD is better simply because it's conditioned and the sound is easier on the ears, but I'd still go to see a show anyday over a CD.

If you ever get a chance to go to Fibbers Barfly in York to see a good band, do it. It's a great place, but it's 15+ and very strict about I.D

If my parents once told me I couldn't go to a show. I ended up placing elaborate traps around the laundry etc until they let me

Also, at about 75% of shows at Fibbers I've met the band afterwards! =O

live music sounds more real to me. i used to go every weekend to this venue so i could see local independent bands, and i never miss an opportunity to see a major band live.

well you don't go to the show for the sound quality... you can listen to the cd a million times if you wanted, you have a 3 hours if you're lucky to savor a show

Studio (recorded) sound allot better since the album is made Perfect, but at a concert its not all about the sound but the feeling of it. i dont know with i prefer but the point is, studio sound better

I haven't really been to any concerts. Well, actually, I confess: I went to an S Club 7 concert. When I was about six years old. I can hardly remember a thing about that concert... I really want to go to a concert (only with a good band singing this time... lol), but for one thing I don't really have anyone to go to one with me - some of my friends have very different music tastes to me - and also, I don't think my parents would pay the full price of a concert ticket for me, and I haven't really got a lot of money at the moment... Maybe for a birthday / Christmas present. Whatever.
And I think that a band can be good on CD but really rubbish live - but some bands can be really amazing live. It depends on the band.

You're being a bit mean to Ieshie, Misfitgurl... But Ieshie, I think you're getting slightly uptight. Relax... Or just call her a stupid [insert swear word of your choice here] and ignore her

Today's featured band's Nickelback... They rock! Though I have to admit, the "I Wanna Be A Popstar" video (parody of Rockstar) is a definite improvement on the lyrics... Lol

Yeah, i agree with slimguy, artist can make their tracks sound perfect by doing as many takes as possible, but in the live some of them often sing some songs wrongly , even they forgot the lyrics, that really makes me piss off. Lol... for the quarlity of sound the cd is perfect.but in the live concert , u can feel the atmosphere, make new friends.

it really depends on the artist. some bands actually sound better on cd.

but usually i think its better live. i love that vibe on a concert, and some bands can really get a certain feeling across to the audience ...
it's hard for me to explain that in english but i guess people who picked "on concerts" know what i mean

and apart from all that feeling-stuff ... concerts are fun, yippie!

I'd say that it depends on how good a musician is. If he's a real musician, he should be able to give a life performance of high quality .. unfortunately there are not that many musicians anymore .. I stopped going to concerts because over the years concerts got louder and louder as quality became poorer and poorer.

It really depends.
Most singers/bands I listen to sound horrible live
although my favorite band, Ali Project, sounds just as awesome live.
So I think recorded CDs sound better.

next person to comment on ieshie_ her parents, or why she doesn't go to concerts or whatever is seriously getting banned, this is your one warning folks. treat others as you want to be treated, and i don't think that people prying into your life and insulting your friends and family sounds like a good time to anyone

get it? got it? good.

recorded music sounds wayyyy better cuz you can actually understand the words and you can hear the melody and any changing chords and such.

however,
live music is much more fun.
hands down.

If you don't like the music the band plays at a concert, why do you even like the band?
