| look at britney spears and amy winehouse. both need help, yet their songs are good. people who buy the songs of these type of artists are saying that being a drug addict is okay. i watched a tv programme once and someone said that pete doherty is a musical genius.
is it any wonder people think its okay to take drugs because of 'inspirations' like the ones above that i have mentioned. |

britney spears is far from being huge atm. well i dunno how shes doing in the US (in terms of albums sales) but shes completely losing it here. she used to sell songs here cuz she was a pop icon, she isnt anymore, and thats since she hooked up with kevin federline, which was a long time ago.
people who buy the songs of these type of artists are saying that being a drug addict is okay.
not at all? and boycotting an artist cuz hes on drugs is pretty useless. no one really cares what an artist does in their private life. if what they do is good, it will sell, if it sucks it wont.
i watched a tv programme once and someone said that pete doherty is a musical genius.
and?
i doubt that they were saying "pete doherty is on drugs, therefore he's a musical genius".

pple who think its okay to take drugs dont take their inspiration from pete doherty, britney spears or amy winehouse. they just do drugs and like it. i honestly think zero person in the world wants to look/be/act like any of these 3 artists.
and like tabitha said, "sex drugs and rock'n'roll" has always existed. drugs and art have always been a combination that works (Rimbaud back then for example...), doesnt mean everybody should be a drug addict to be a good artist, actually most pple really suck when they're on drugs, and amy winehouse and britney spears and pete doherty are good examples that drugs do not make u a genius.
of course artists should not advocate taking drugs, or reproducing like rabbits when u're a fck-up yourself, but there are idiots everywhere eh, and they dont necessarily have a responsibility in the fact that other idiots make the same mistakes. | 11-02-2008 10:17 BunnyEarGirl6 | 102 posts
| i know. i am only just saying, because actually everyone cares about the private life because the tabloids are always prying into their private life therefore we get to know. | 13-02-2008 11:07 Pandora |

just because we know.... doesn't necessarily mean that we care at all... ? so you could be in your own little boat there.
