| You’re an adult
Over double my age
Yet you’ve never even earnt the minimum wage
You’ve never experienced the good things in life
Never been there for your kids or your wife
You’ve chosen the drugs over everything else
Stopped giving your love
Stopped caring for yourself
Nan gave up on you years ago
But mum kept trying
Even when she felt low
She had 3 kids, a boyfriend and a job
But she still found time to help you out
Now all you can do for her
Is scream and shout?
Mum always gave you second chances
And third and forth and fifth
No matter what you got yourself into
Mum would always forgive
She put you up when you had nowhere to go
Gave you her love
It would have been easier for her to go
You need to stand up and take responsibility
You chose how to live your life
Just like mum, nan and me
We all make wrong decisions
At some point or another
But if we stand up and take responsibility
These decisions will only make us stronger
You need to listen to what I say
I may only be a child
But I’ve come a long way
You need to stop blaming everyone else
You’ll only be happy
If you stand up and take the blame yourself
