Favourite poem of all time!

| The title says it all - choose your one favourite poem, and tell us why you like it. Mine is 'London' by William Blake. I know it off by heart, thats how sad I am, hehe!
I love it and his work because it is so brave, he dared to speak out against the Catholic chruch and it's role in the extreme poverty of the time, and of all the socials ills of the terrible time in general....something very few other people had dared to do. He also writes beautifully and creatively, and he is the only person who has ever made me undertstand even slightly why people believe in God

I wander through each chartered street,
Near where the chartered Thames does flow,
A mark in every face I meet,
Marks of weakness, marks of woe.
In every cry of every man,
In every infant's cry of fear,
In every voice, in every ban,
The mind-forged manacles I hear:
How the chimney-sweeper's cry
Every blackening church appals,
And the hapless soldier's sigh
Runs in blood down palace-walls.
But most, through midnight streets I hear
How the youthful harlot's curse
Blasts the new-born infant's tear,
And blights with plagues the marriage hearse.

On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
and the monkeys all say BOO!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots jibber jabber joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So its Ning Nang Nong
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning
Trees go ping
Nong Ning Nang
The mice go Clang
What a noisy place to belong
is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!
