| Hi! I like Muse. They have many beautiful energetic and amazing songs. I'd like someday to go to their concert. | 19-12-2007 10:35 lightwolf | 80 posts
| Once again, I love how as mature as I may seem, the most obvious and sometimes most popular things like this seem to evade me.
So, get your laughs out now...
...Done laughing? ok good...
What are good examples of Muse's good work so I can actually know who they ARE? LoL

| You could have picked some better examples
Black Holes And Revelations is a weak album in my opinion.
You want the best examples of Muse; Plug In Baby, Newborn, Citizen Erased, Hysteria (with Interlude running for the 40 seconds before it to get the build up right), Thoughts Of A Dying Athiest, Bliss or Stockholm Syndrome - which is in my humble opinion one of the absolute best songs ever. | 21-12-2007 18:06 Rise | 566 posts
| And for the record.

| youre forgetting space dementia. i just love the live version of it (catch it on the second disc of hullabaloo). that is a brilliant song. i dont think there are any weak albums. black holes and revelations, contrary to what you think, is perhaps the best album, if the album showbiz didn't have muscle museum on it. as this is the case, the two albums are pretty evens. they're both really good albums and i dont see any flaws in any of their music.
as with space dementia, i love the part that the piano plays in it. i keep singing it now and im constantly listening to it on my mp3 player.
yes i agree that the small print is really really good, and the examples named in your posts are all brilliant.
the song that haunts me most is escape, which can be found on the showbiz album. i kept listening to it when my great grandad died about seven months ago. it just reminds me of that time.
mum likes muse as well, and has currently listened to black holes and revelations and origin of symmetry. on black holes and revelations, she doesn't like soldier's poem or hoodoo. | 14-01-2008 19:48 Islandrock |

Each to their own. I just think BHAR is a toned down version of the group's music, arguably more accessible for first time listeners to the music, but missing alot of their trademark stuff. No standout vocal performances on any tracks, the hardness and edge has gone completely, and where oh where is there one decent guitar solo? | 20-01-2008 14:32 Dredg935 |

| Not my favorite, but a good band. | 21-01-2008 10:17 BunnyEarGirl6 | 102 posts
| hmmm...it was the first muse album i listened to, so it is arguably more accessible, i must agree. hmmm...i must agree with the last point about it being toned down. i'd prefer their next album to have more power in it. Nature_1 is toned down as well, but i still like it because it reminds me of this guy that recently screwed me over. | 01-02-2008 20:28 flickfan82x | 9 posts

| Muse are fantastic. I've seen them live twice and they never fail to disappoint!
For the Muse Newbie's ears: "Hysteria", "Plug In Baby" particularly!
I live in their hometown at the moment, heh!
