So this would go better in relationships, but I think this will reach a more mainstream audience in GD, which I think is very important in this day and age because most people would just think I'm gay. But I'm not. I am sentimental. So let me start by saying I have never been in a relationship. I would like to gte married but I would also like to have positive influences, while maintaining a positive influence outside of marriage. I'm only 19, so I'm not in any hurry. So I am experimenting with the idea of permanent life partnership. My definition is not the typical asexual relationship between two people equivalent to marriage. That's what it is. Marriage involves intimacy, partners are not intimate. But let me give you a little background information with my new and improved definition. I would like to find a girl, younger than me, but within 3 years of my age. I never had a little sister. I was the baby. I have 2 older sisters, but we were never close. I am convinced there is a celestial bond between a little sister and older brother that goes without saying, just isn't there in a typical 'big sister, little brother' or 'brother-brother', 'sister-sister relationship. A girl needs a male figure in her life apart from her dad, who can be a horrible influence, if not even abusive. A girl needs a positive male influence, similar in age to show her what being a man is about. What to look for in a man, and how to properly execute any relationship. Without this male figure, girls are lost in the dark world of sex, lies, drugs, hate, and will lead to a path of destruction. I would like to find a girl who is an only child. It is similar to the adoption process. You would first find candidates for adoption. Then weed out possible candidates until a suitable one is found. I would also like to find a girl, between 15-18 who comes from an abusive family line, perhaps with alcoholism, or domestic violence a key prerequisite. I want to mentor this girl who is quickly finding out the powers she holds over men as she becomes a woman, to mentor her, and guide her through life, like only a big brother can. So a guy is harassing you, being a pervert, discussing inappropriate subjects. I don't want this girl to be a perv. Pervs will be pervs. She has to be chaste, yet if there is a situation, I will gladly lay down my life for her. Though it probably would never lead to that. Girls these days need mentors. Someone to teach them about love, peace, kindness, gentleness, a proper way to grow in a relationship and most girls are turning to all the wrong things. At the same time, I want a girl to comfort me in the way only a little sister can. Help me see the joy in life, great things that can be accomplished for the good of the universe, and bring out the best in me. I am a very dark, depressing person and the only thing that may save me is a meaningful relationship with this girl, wherever she may be. Let me emphasise, this is a 'little sister-big brother' objective, not about intimacy or dating. My family has been very hurtful over the years and that is why I am seeking to adopt this very special girl who needs me now more than ever. Your comments, suggestions, thoughts, whatever would be much appreciated.

7,722 posts	that seems to me like it would be a terrible idea. you have no idea how hard it is to "mentor" a troubled child, much less a teenage girl.

10,554 posts	I don't know about this. It seems a bit weird to me. It sounds like you care about these girls that have bad backgrounds, and that you want to help them, but your explanation kind of comes off a little creepy sounding.

10,554 posts	seriously dude, you have two threads going about how you fantasize about young and more or less underaged girls. this is no okay behavior, and I would never let you near any child or female at this point. please for your sake and the sakes of others, do something to get help. find God, get therapy, whatever. Because the threads you are posting are very disturbing and creepy!

9,527 posts	Hey bud, that's what they call codependency. It's where you're dependent on someone depending on you. It's very unhealthy. It can quickly turn you into a very controlling person. I started to struggle with codependency once. Thankfully I got a wakeup call because the person depending on me was very sick and ended up hurting me, but if you really get into the cycle it can be very bad. You deserve therapy. I am in no way "down" on people who see therapists. I used to, myself, and I would do so again if I needed it.

3,034 posts	I can kind of see what you're trying to do. I am a female, the youngest in our family with three older brother. Yes! I have to admit having that male influence other than my father had a great impact in my life and the thought that these men would, if needed, lay there life on the line for you made me feel safe and very special. You're situation, however, is very different. This would not be a good excerise for you to execute. You're looking for a companion, a girl that would have no sexual involvemnt with you, but would look up to you as a father/brother figure. This would be an unhealthy relationship as you claim you too are a very depressed, dependant person. As you are not blood related, this girl would have no bounds to you and therefore could quite easily leave and never return. What would you do then? It sounds to me like your striving to be a Knight in shining Armour.......As gallant as you claim this would be, you could cause more harm than good for both this girl and yourself. As D mentioned. Get yourself a Dog.

1,401 posts	I prefer cats. It has nothing to do with being a knight or gallant, it has everything to do with showing her what real relationships are all about. What to look for in a guy, how men are supposed to act around females and what is asked of them. I want to help her, with God, with prophecy, with the future of the universe, and she can act as a counter to my loony behavior that somehow always gets out of hand. Btw, I've seen a therapist for 7 and a half years.

10,554 posts	then perhaps you should mention this little gem of yours to your therapist. and you do not know God, because this idea of yours is not biblical or godly. you should not be near and children or females right now. I really cannot fathom how this plan of yours could possibly make sense in a not creepy pedophilic way. and do honestly believe what you are saying in these threads you have been posting? you either are a very estranged individual who needs a lot of help and prayer, or you enjoy posting very odd topics just to see how people will react to them.

101 posts	e80, let's not lie. If a 17 year old girl was living with you as a "paertner" you'd be screwing her or at least trying to....Possibly raping her. It's kinda obvious by now you're a creepy man. You're a pedophile, and that's ok. It's best to not deny your feelings.
