| Lonestar - Amazed
Savage Garden - Crash And Burn (something a lil different to Truly Madly Deeply... as every one has that which makes it highly impersonal and unoriginal)
Shayne Ward - Breathless (perfect, imo)
Brad Paisley - She Is Everything
Coldplay - Fix you
Elliot Yamin - Wait for you... amazing music
Keith Urban - Making Memories of Us
Westlife - Unreakable
Just a few ideas there | 19-12-2007 08:04 SmileStruck | 134 posts
| I Do Cherish You- Mark Wills or 98 Degrees
Wonderful Tonight- Eric Clapton
I Want You- Third Eye Blind
Deep Inside of You- Third Eye Blind
I Wanna Love You Forever- Jessica Simpson
Crash into Me- DMB (Cliche... but gorgeous)
Always (sometimes called "40")-DMB "A friend is always good to have, but a lovers kiss is better than angels raining down on me. I dream of you at times when you're by my side..." SOOO sweet.
Forever and Ever Amen- George Strait
The Back of Your Hand- Dwight Yoakum
You Again- Tara Lyn Hart
You and Me- Lifehouse... again, very cliche, but touching.
Stay with you- goo goo dolls

| In the Air Tonight... by Phil Collins. May not be as upbeat as what you are looking for, but it's awesome and it describes that moment you've waited for so very long to find the one that you love so much, and them find you.
Unlike kians angel, I'll go ahead and recommend Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden. So what if it's impersonal? LoL it's an awesome song and just about everything has been done before already.
I know that if it were for someone I love, I wouldn't want something original, I'd want the best. | 20-12-2007 18:54 kians_angel | 6,064 posts
| ^^ No doubt its a great song. Actually, SG are one of my favourite bands, ever. But to be honest, its a song that has been worn oout SOOO many times at whatnot and stuff... and theres so many of their other songs that are just as amazing, and just as touching, its nice to hear something a bit different once in a while. And just because someone may not have heard their other songs so much, doesnt make it any less "the best" to have at a wedding.
And, my name is Helen. | 20-12-2007 19:09 kians_angel | 6,064 posts
| "When you feel all alone
And the world has turned its back on you
Give me a moment please to tame your wild wild heart
I know you feel like the walls are closing in on you
It's hard to find relief and people can be so cold
When darkness is upon your door and you feel like you can't take anymore
Let me be the one you call
If you jump i'll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn
You're not alone" - Crash and Burn, Savage Garden
So Beautiful, I Knew I Loved You and This Side Of Me are but a few others.
And if you look at some of Darren Hayes' stuff, his lyrics are amazing too.
In the end, its not about the song itself, but more about the lyrics that MAKE it the song. Its nice to see that a close friend has looked beyond "a song" and chosen some original ones, but has also chosen songs that are most relevant and personal to the couple.
Just an idea anyway. If it was me, id look beyond all the "popular", tired out songs.

| I'd definitely agree with Savage Garden - Crash and Burn. It's been my favourite song since I was 11. Truly Madly Deeply is a good song as well, could put both on.
Some more songs I think could work:
Aqualung - Brighter Than Sunshine
Foo Fighters - Everlong
Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars |
