I've been looking for this song...

The chorus starts with "And I said, 'Baby'..." with the male singer lengthening the word baby.

I think the chorus ends with "lost in love" but I'm not sure.

I know that's not much to go by but if anyone can tell me the name of the song, I'd be grateful.

Old thread, but I think the song you are looking for is "Love is Strange" by Mickey & Sylvia. Was on the Dirty Dancing soundtrack amongst others. Hope that helps.
