CLEVELAND - A 14-year-old student who opened fire at his high school, wounding four people before killing himself, had a history of mental problems and was known for cussing at teachers and bickering with students.
Asa H. Coon, who had been suspended for fighting, warned classmates of an attack — but none took him seriously.
Coon's troubles seemed to come to a tipping point this week when he was suspended for fighting outside with a classmate. Students said Monday's fight was over God — Coon told his classmates he didn't believe in God and instead worshipped rocker Marilyn Manson.

Once again, people blame the eclectic music stars when kids who are obviously mentally unstable go on shooting rampages in schools. Blaming Marilyn Manson is just for conveniance, in my opinion; parents don't want to face up to the fact that they're not giving their children the kinds of attentions they need.

If you think back to the Columbine Massacre a few years ago, the last thing those boys did before opening fire at their school was go bowling. There was no outcry about the evils of 10-pin bowling, was there?

Look, most people who find Jesus do it when they're feeling terrible, or a close friend shares what they believe. It is very seldom that some hero decides to post preachy topics in a message board.

I agree with Phil on Marilyn Manson though. The guy is full of crap (anarchy won't ever work), but it is not his fault this massacre happened. Most kids are really just a reflection of their surroundings as they grow up, and if their parents raised them badly, they stay brats until they die.

The only people to blame here are the ones who ignored his threats, definitely not Marilyn Manson.
In our day and age if an obviously unstable person threatens to do something like that you don't ignore it. That person may be just the one to go through with it.

I would not consider us heros, but if you'd like to that's fine. We serve the one true God, who takes away the sins of the world. Praise God for His indescribable gift of Jesus Christ who died, on the Cross and rose again three days later!

you can blame a person just because their music or the way they look or act
but if you have to blame someone blame the devil so that you feel happy

this what's known as passing the buck

let me ask you this folks...ever seen a violent movie? a violent tv show? ever acted out what you saw? no? probably because you're a normal well adjusted human being

the kid who worships a rock singer and shoots up a school, and does so despite warning his classmates it was coming...he is not a normal well adjusted human being

you want to blame the media and a rock singer, thats fine, but just know thats a lame excuse, entertainment is just that, entertainment, people unable to tell the differences are one with problems far more deep seeded, so no its not marilyn manson's fault, its not media's fault...its the kids fault, the parents fault, ya know...the primary caregivers that didn't know their son was off the damn wall insane

Marilyn Manson has thousands of fans all over the world...a lot of whom also claim to worship him. Why haven't they all blown up schools then?

You ever watched Bowling For Columbine, kid? No? Do you know where the name of the movie derives from? No?

The name comes from the case of 2 Columbine students who went on a shooting spree in their high school. The authorities at the time, blamed Marilyn Manson because apparently the kids had been listening to his music shortly before the spree.
The same two kids, only a few hours before killing several people, also had a game of Bowling together. Anything could have given them the idea of shooting people...

Do you blame the bowling? No.

So why blame Manson?

Is that in reference to what happens after you get on your knees and worship Jesus?

Figuratively speaking yes, but spiritually no. It's when you accept Jesus as savior, and He takes your sins away. (you asked)

I have good jokes. Just all my "religious" ones are the ones that seem to be the ones that make sense about what we are talking about.
