| do tell me [/b]what the hell is catholic about? please all you people who claim to be catholic tell me what your religion is all about? tell me why the hell you have to tell your sins to a preist so that the preist can "tell God" so that your sins would be forgivien! tell me why it is that you catholics beleive that you have to do good things to get you into heaven!!! cause you know that the whole reason that jesus christ came down to this earth to die for our sins, and if you say that the only way to get to heaven is by doing good deads then the purpose of jesus is compleatly useless!!!!! if that was true, that you had to do good things to get to heaven makeing jesus useless, then the whole base of christanity, what catholisism is based off of is completly unnessesary!!! jesus unnessesary? i dont think so.. also you can never be good enough to get in to heaven!!!! so dont try, that is what jesus is for!!! tell me one more thing why is it that you catholics take such offence when people comment or dissagree with you when you dont even know what the hell it is that you believe in!!! please argue with me!

| Hmm... I haven't been keeping off with this topic bcuz it's been purdy long. I'm Christian and I dont really think catholics are on the right track. I'm not saying that they should go to hell and stuff, just that they might be off a little bit. I saw proof that Jesus had siblings. It says in the bible also. What's wit that. | There is the Catechism of the Catholic Church, but all that is is a book explaining the teachings of the church. It's in no way even close to being equal with the holy scriptures.
As for the Jesus having siblings thang, there really is no word for "brother" or "sister" in Hebrew, so they used the same word for "brother" or "sister" or "cousin" or "relative" basically. So the Catholic church teaches that it got changed in translation and when the Bible refers to "brothers" it's really talking about "relatives" in general which could be cousins or whatever. | | 0 @ 18-10-2003 04:26 vandy |
