| It bothers me that there's so much testing involved...it's almost like they're critiquing it, trying to find some "cure." As I see it, who cares? Who cares what the reason is? Why is it something people need to pick apart and research? Sure, I wonder once in a while what in the world would make me sexually attracted to a girl, but at the end of the day, does it matter?
I don't know, doesn't make sense to me to pick it apart that way. Gay people are here, why don't we just accept it?
Hopefully this research has positive results though, rather than some of the negatives that were described in that article. | 0 @ 16-10-2007 02:43 JDolla | 7,714 posts
| i just liked the article because it gave a host of different views. it was still biased, but at least it made an effort to cover that up. | 0 @ 16-10-2007 02:49 MisterEMan | 614 posts
| Can we change the name of this thread? Everytime I see it, I think they're talking about the fudge workers union and how they they've been giving back to the community, making them a powerful entity when it comes to who they favor in politics. While instead its a homophobic way to call a homosexual who should have as many rights as everyone else, whether it be in iowa, canada, africa, or any other place that ends with an a... and every other place too, i just like places that end with a better. | 0 @ 16-10-2007 09:25 WH1 | 290 posts

| yes it says gay marrige is bad in the bible, but just because the bible says it doesnt mean they're going to listen. you can try all you want but you cant change the way people are...if they want to be gay or bi or what ever let them be and let god take care of them when it comes to that
please i beg you to stop put forums were everyone is disagreeing about the religous factor | +1 @ 17-10-2007 01:00 MisterEMan | 614 posts

| (to finish our discussion)
Homosexual behavior is prohibited in Scripture.
Leviticus 20:13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.)
And was a major cause of the divine judgement against Sodom, and Gomorrah.
Genesis 19:4-5 Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.”
Genesis 19:12-13 Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city—take them out of this place! For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the LORD, and the LORD has sent us to destroy it.”
The apostle Paul listed homosexuals among "the unrighteous" who would not inherit the Kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 6 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,
And Paul declared that God's wrath stands against such behavior, whether practiced by men or women.
Romans 1:26-17 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
Kate how you can argue with Scripture I will never understand, but here it is for you. It's wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| And for this good reason the bible is not the basis of jurisdiction, but the law is. It's not because a handful of people want to live by the bible that all the rest of society has to.
Fine people already came to the conclusion a few centuries ago that the bible is not an adequate document to build a fair society on. | 0 @ 01-11-2007 14:31 superman14 | 365 posts

And just because a handful of people believe it doesn't make it wrong either. We acctually have more credabillity when you think about it.
Fine people already came to the conclusion a few centuries ago that the bible is not an adequate document to build a fair society on.
And those "fine" people you refer to are what are known as pure idiots. And there's a greek word for their assumption...bull crap. Plan and simple. | 0 @ 01-11-2007 14:38 KateKateKate | 5,285 posts
| Okay you need to go back through this thread because I've already answered everything regarding every single passage of scripture you just put, and I'm not going to be bothered to do it again, I've said everything that needs to be said regarding this topic.
I'm not arguing with Scripture, I'm arguing with how you choose to interpret it because I think the interpretations are wrong and narrow-minded, and not suiting the context of Christianity. | 0 @ 01-11-2007 14:43 superman14 | 365 posts

Yes you are Kate. You are arguing with Scripture! You are changing the context of it to suit your lifestyle. Remember God says do not add to His word lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar! You are an example of the problem with Christianity. You water down God's Word to make what you believe ok. |
