| Do you vote for politics?
I will not! EVER! They just want money! They promises and so on... They say thanks to god when they win but they only think about money... |

| I probably will vote in the next election here. I didn't vote in the first election (local one not a general election)I was allowed because they made me vote in an area i didn't know any of the candidates and couldn't vote from home. | 0 @ 27-09-2003 13:24 Kickink192 | 6,823 posts

| We have to vote, it's our duty in Belgium to do so, and I'm glad about that, otherwise, only radical people will vote and that will totaly give no idea on what the people in general want... | 0 @ 27-09-2003 15:18 Vilde | 350 posts

| I vote in every election that comes. Even though my vote on its own might not make much of a difference, it's using my right to help elect a better government. If everyone voted, then I think that the government (whichever party is in power) will be better able to help make a positive difference to society, since everyone's had their say in who they want to run the country | 0 @ 27-09-2003 15:24 the_locust | 5,582 posts
| When I am old enough to vote, I am. By not placing my vote I could be getting the person I didn't want, I also would like to be able to have my own, very small, input in to the government by voting, in my opinion, the better candidate. | 0 @ 27-09-2003 15:25 andro | 42,248 posts

| Agreed! It won't hurt you to do a little research and work out who you want to vote for - I voted for the first time last week! We managed to get Labour out of our constituency - whoooohooooo! (the tories were never even in with the slightest chance in this area.)Unfortunately Liberal Democrats were elected though, I voted for the Socialist Alliance.....dammit!

Oh, Ally, I thought Labour were the socialists... stupid me! lol | 0 @ 28-09-2003 16:04 Masterful_Ally | 15,627 posts
| lol, Labour are supposed to be socialist and on the left - 'old labour' back when Margret Thatcher was in power, now there are pretty much like the Tories (Conservatives) and pretty much right-wing. Tony Blair is Labour, and there's no way he's left wing, AT ALL!!!! lol. We have a problem in this country that there are no major left-wing and/or socialist parties...there's no hope!

| There's a major socialist party here... Started by Labour MPs who were dissatisfied with the way Labour was headed under Blair. The movement's only a few years old but it's the fastest growing political party in Scotland's history.
Up with the Scottish Socialist Party! | 0 @ 28-09-2003 16:11 Plantagenet | 12,864 posts
| Oj, I just got so confused, cause we only have one (well, 2, one for the flemish and one for the wallons, so that doesn't count)
But now I understand! Thanks for explaning! | 0 @ 28-09-2003 20:42 lucky_bob | 1,728 posts
