I think most people already know my viewpoint on this...

We don't want special rights. We just want equal rights

My point exactly. In fact, a bill is currently being run through parliament to legalise same sex marriages in England, and if it passes Scotland and Wales will have to follow suit very quickly. Fingers crossed!

i would comment but i just dont know what to say. personally, i dont really wanna get married anyway and ive never really given a monkeys ass about gay rights and all that cos i just dont care about em. but i kno that others do so i spose those who are against it need to get over their little prejudices and start worryin about what is actually important

single sex marriages arent a bad thing, also there are loads of kids that need adopting and the government arent lettin a group of ppl (single sex couples) adopt. its MADNESS!
everyone should be free to do what they want, but since thats neva gunna happen then i think we should TRY to be open-minded as much as pos.
about the kid being mentally deformed as it grows up, im the most mentally eformed person i know and i didnt have lesbians or gays for parents, i dont think it makes a difference at all, becoz its actually proven that children dont care about things like that, sexuality, race, age, etc, its the adults that are the problem

Also, you can't even have a kid, you have to adopt a child, that is, if the adoption agency lets two queers adopt a child. So then the kid has two grow up with two queers for fathers and no mother. AND, you can't even have normal sex, you have to pound each other in the a-hole.

I'm not easily offended, but this is offensive.

First of all, not all homosexuals are male.
Second, it's still better for a child to have two parents than only one. With 30% of marriages ending before the first 7 years; the chance that a child goes from one 'family' to another is rather large. What could you object against a stable family then?

'Normal sex'? Would you call oral sex normal? Besides, if God didn't want men to go around having anal sex; he wouldn't have given them a prostate .

I'm not claiming that I would be a good mother or that everyone can be a good parent, but I'd like to be judged on the basis of my sense of responsibility, my patience, my motives and my love for my child - not on the basis of what I prefer between my sheets.

They legalised same-sex marriages here in Quebec several maonths ago. I don't think there's anything wrong with them. Just don't ask me to watch when the priest says "You may kiss the bri...err, groo...uh...yeah, make-out."

They deserve just the same rights, I can't be bothered to explain my opinion on this but I'm ditto Andro's comment and whoever posted that message on the other page that LB found offensive, has naive opinions. They are people just the rest off us afterall.

Marriage is also a legal action. When couple get married they'll also get the right to inherit each others (if haven't agreed differently). Why that should be only hetero-couples right? I strongly accept same-sex marriages!

i think as long as two people love eachother and are happy and if marriage will make them happy too then they should have the right to marry whoever they want male/female it doesnt matter.. everyone should have the same opportunities!! thats my opinion anyway!!!

cheers!

yeah, i agree w/ them. and as for adoption..your ability to be a good parent has nothing to do w// ur sexual preferance. is it better for a child to be brought up in a loving gay home, or to be battered w/ a mother father? i really dont think there is any argument here

I have a mom, a stepmom, and my dad - how's that any different than if my mom and stepmom were together, and my dad were essentially the sperm donor?

In other words...at least 50% of the population under the age of 25 in the United States has a step-parent; if 50% of us already have 2 moms or 2 dads...what's the big deal with those 2 moms living together, or those 2 dads living together?

I really don't care what they do. I think its hypocritical of people who are against gay marriages to say that gay people only want to sleep around and be promiscuious, but when gays want to get married they are also against it. That is so dumb...they are trying to do the exact opposite of what you say by getting married and you still won;t let them do it. Practice what ya preach people. Let people live their private lives the way they want

i think they should be legal or else it is just a way that the govt can oppress people....its just like before the civil rights act when the govt had many laws against african americn people when u think back to then u think "i cant believe that that happened!" in the future, we will look back onto now and cant believe that the govt actually thought that same sex marriages were wrong and they didnt allow them. it would also open people's minds since being gay is so "wrong" now and people wold become more familiar with gay people. the reason people are discriminative towards others is because they are afraid of them...if being gay or lesbian was more socially acceptable tehn people wouldnt be as afraid adn we would just have one less group of people that people didnt like...
