| Hello everybody.
I do realise that there is already a huge thread onPoems and another huge thread for Dedications but I don't think there is yet a thread for dedicating poems to people.
So here it goes. This poem was written by me a few years back and to start the whole thread off I am dedicating this one to Renata.

Time is the healer, your pain will ease
Being young as you are, you’re almost naïve
I’m slightly older, just listen to me
You’re a great girl, be what you want to be
Don’t let that one guy halt your progress
Nothing more you could do, you did your best
He loves you? The truth or just a myth
You’ll find out soon, if it’s you he wants to be with
But don’t sit there waiting, you’re still 18
There’s a whole world out there, just begging to be seen
Make the most of your life, cos before you know
Time has got you, like a cancer grows
Life is so precious, it’s a total premium
So balance yourself out into equilibrium
Just live your life, do what you want and be happy
Cos as someone once said, “Nobody knows the way it’s gonna be”. |

I miss how you worked your magic on me.
I miss your sense of humor.
I miss the igloo.
I miss how you sing.
I miss how you laugh.
I miss how we danced.
I miss how we cuddled.
I miss how you show off.
I miss your cute freckles.
I miss the way you laugh.
I miss holding your hand.
I miss how we just talked.
I miss how you apologize.
I miss not worrying about it.
I miss how we rubbed noses.
I miss how you cared for me.
I miss your attempt at romance.
I miss how loudly you whisper.
I miss your gorgeous brown eyes.
I miss knowing that you loved me.
I miss how you said that it could wait.
I miss the way you comforted my crying.
I miss how you blew off your buddies for me.
I miss the way I trembled when you touched me.
I miss how you promised me you’d never hurt me.
I miss how you argued with your buddies because of me.
I miss how unreal it all felt, how much of a dream it was for me
I miss the sound of your voice when you were worried about me.
I miss how surprised you were when I remembered your birthday.
I miss the way you wink at me and make me go weak at the knees.
I miss the way the morning sunshine cast a golden glow on your tan skin.
I miss you calling me to say goodnight, and then talking for an hour more.
I miss feeling that instead of being too good to be real, it was too real to be good.
I miss how I wished the night would never end, and crying when I saw that it was.
I miss how you looked into my eyes, and it was as if you were staring into my soul.
I miss how the moonlight made your eyes sparkle and my arms long to be with you.
I miss you.
