| Hello everybody.
I do realise that there is already a huge thread onPoems and another huge thread for Dedications but I don't think there is yet a thread for dedicating poems to people.
So here it goes. This poem was written by me a few years back and to start the whole thread off I am dedicating this one to Renata.

Time is the healer, your pain will ease
Being young as you are, you’re almost naïve
I’m slightly older, just listen to me
You’re a great girl, be what you want to be
Don’t let that one guy halt your progress
Nothing more you could do, you did your best
He loves you? The truth or just a myth
You’ll find out soon, if it’s you he wants to be with
But don’t sit there waiting, you’re still 18
There’s a whole world out there, just begging to be seen
Make the most of your life, cos before you know
Time has got you, like a cancer grows
Life is so precious, it’s a total premium
So balance yourself out into equilibrium
Just live your life, do what you want and be happy
Cos as someone once said, “Nobody knows the way it’s gonna be”. |

Close To The Heart
You’re still so young, yet you feel so old
Still searching for your fairytale ending, yet to be told
What’s inside your mind? If you start to delve
One day soon, you will understand yourself
So take the time out and you shall see
That there is always respite after stormy seas
Confide in your closest friends through the bad times and the good
If anyone can understand you, then they should
They’ll always be there, tough time may try to part
You’ll be fine, just keep them firmly in your heart
Cos I believe in trust and friendship
Being there for one another when our lives take a dip
Do what you want and never regret
Be proud of being different, a contrast, a silhouette
I am back, I’ve re-discovered my smile
For a time though, I’ve been away a while
I am now refreshed, it’s clear to see
Unlike a month ago, stone cold and unhappy
So come to me whenever you’re down
You will never truly be alone; I’ll understand and will always be around.

THE CLOWN
A drawn smile on your face,
fix your
red
round
nose.
Put your make up on,
it's time for another
show.
You can't laugh anymore,
but you have to,
you clown.
Making funny tricks
for the people in front,
playing the act,
you can't let them now
you're just wearing a masc,
passing a test,
you funny,
funny
clown.
But when the night comes,
and the lights are turned off,
when there's no audience
to pretend for
and show off,
there's no longer laughter,
the joy has no sound,
and all u can hear is
the cry
of the clown.

As long as the sun keeps shining,
I know.
When there's storms and lightnings,
I know.
You put the hope in me.
The ink of your words
keeps dripping over my heart,
marking the facts that are finally proven.
Thank you for assuring me that my mind

I know
that the good is alive and
as long
as you keep touching the hearts of
us all
it will keep on surviving
the fall.

| I work hard for an hour or so (do u have any idea how hard it is to find rhymes for a foreigner?) and all i get is a lousy teddy bear? ?
