11,632 posts	I meant Evanescence more or less as a joke because most people don't realize that they actually did start off as a Christian band to quote Moody during the bands beginnings: "We hope to express in our music that Christianity is not a rigid list of rules to follow..." and also "The message we as a band want to convey more than anything is simple—God is Love.

9,642 posts	I hardly know any Christian music anymore. It's all too campy for me, for the most part. I'll always have a special place in my heart for Jennifer Knapp's music though.

9,642 posts	Oh and Lou, I am a bigtime Christian, I think anyone here would agree with that, however I agree that Xtian music is for the most part annoying. I think a lot of artists get away with making crap music because hey...if it says "Jesus" enough times, what Xtian music producer's gonna have the balls to be like "no, you suck."? Not saying that all Xtian music is bad, but for the most part, you could tell it's Xtian music just by the sound, even without the lyrics.
