im in a LDR too and that just sucks!! i live in istanbul, turkey and he lives in New York theres time difference between us so we dont get to talk a lot too and i really miss and need him besides i lost my virginity with him but i dont regret that either cuz i love him!!and after i came back to turkey while we were talking on msn, he said "i love you" to me for the first time!!i almost cried..
so there are couple of songs that works for me and they are the acoustic versions of

yellowcard-firewater
sugarcult-memory
finch-letters to you

the worst part is i didnt get to say bye to him but we're still talkin so i guess that wasn't necessary

My boyfriend of 7 months is flying to Switzerland on monday. I live on the west coast of Canada, there's a ocean and continent going to be between us! But I'm making him a mix CD w/ our meaningful songs on it and this thread is perfect. I've found so many good songs! But here's a question, which songs are sung by a womens perspective? Alot of these songs are sung by men, and i'm trying to find ones that are more "my voice to him". Making any sense?

My problem seems quite futile compared to others. But i still just want to unload and just..i dunno. well, i met this guy about two years ago, on holiday in NY. we became the best of friends, and have emailed ever since. this year i saw him again when we went to NY and it was great. We realised we were in love..and he confessed that he has liked me for the last two years and since he has left college he thought it the right time to tell me. even though its great it really very hard having a longdistance relationship. i miss him all the time, i worry constantly. i live in London and he is so far away! I care about him so much. Im not terrified of losing him, because i think we're really in love. I just need some advice on how to cope, and how to keep this going. Thanks

I would just like to say to avoid long-distance relationships at all costs. The percentages are stacked against you far too much.

The problem is that people don't stop to consider if they're really in a position to make a LD relationship work. People just don't realise how big a deal it is to move to another country, or anywhere far away. You have family, friends, and roots to tear away from to do that. And if you tihnk you can wait long enough until you're in a position to do that, I dare you to stand the test of time. Won't happen very often, I can assure you.

Yeah, I agree with Dekar. I've been in my LDR for almost 2 years now, and we both live in the US, but we're a couple states apart. And I'm still in highschool and he just started college, we've never met in person yet, however we already know that no matter how long we must wait we will be together & spend our lives together.
You have to be completely dedicated to this person & make risks you'll have to live with.

this one isnt really for LDR's but I think it's still a perfect song for a relationship.

I was in an LDS too. I was in Montana and he was in Spain, and I can tell you that you don´t need special songs to remind you. Every song you hear reminds you of him or her. I´m living in Spain with him now and now I need the LD songs for my family, but I´m happy. Good luck to all those sufferers Of LDR´s out there.

I´m with many. . .

Here I am
At 6 a clock in the morning
Still thinking about you
It's still hard
At 6 a clock in the morning
To sleep without you
And I know that it might
Seem to late for love
All I know

[chorus]
I need you now
More than words can say
I need you now
I've got to find a way
I need you now
Before I lose my mind
I need you now

Here I am
Im looking out my window
Im dreaming about you
Cant let go
At 6 a clock in the morning
I feel you beside me
And i know that it might
Seem to late for love
For love

Guitar Solo

[chorus]
I need you now
More than words can say
I need you now
I've got to find a way
I need you now
Before I lose my mind
I need you now
More than words can say
I need you now
I got to here you say
I need you now
Before I lose my mind
I need you now

I need you now

thank you soooo much for this thread!!! my boyfriend lives in hungary, europe while i am here in texas, usa. we have been together for 1 year, 1 month, and like a week or something... lol... but anyways - i am preparing a package to send over to him with pictures, quotes, lyrics, cds, clothes, blah blah blah and this has really helped me a lot. it sucks so bad being apart. i miss him more than anything. i spent about 7 or 8 whole months being with him every single day pretty much every single second and now he is gone, and i dont know when i will ever be able to see him again. its hard, but we love each other more than anything, so there is no way im giving him up for anyone else in this world. i <3 himmmmmmmmmm!!! i even have been learning his language to surprise him and his family and friends when i go over there next summer! i cant wait to be with him again. everyone just stay strong and the love will hold yall together!!!
