5,464 posts	beyoncés video for 'Baby Boy' can be descried in one word:SLT! i dont believe her she is such a talented woman, she doesnt need to parade round in her knickers to prove that, at least christina A had a point in doing that, beyoncés just doing it for attention..the song scks too, sean paul cannot sing..

12,759 posts	Beyonce's becoming more and more risque with her music videos but then again she is a gorgeous woman. I don't feel the need to call her a sl*t? How she parades herself on tv I am sure is nothing like what she is in her prviate life. We cannot say unless we know her personally.

5,464 posts	well i always put it this way- it took years for destiny's child to get sucess but the second beyonce goes out-half colthed, she sells millions of albums (with that lovely fully-clothed cover for it too) and that annoying Crazy In Love goes to no 1 for weeks just becasue she doesnt wear clothes! and apart from Witney and Areatha and Alicia Keys all the other women out there, even though they have brilliant voices, feel the need to show us what practially All of their body looks like examples:christina A (although she was taking a stand) j.lo (although she cant sing that well) mya (ditto j.lo) lil kim, britney, and for gods sake even pink can get a little skimpy on it somethimes! are there going to be, like, 5 women left in the music indusrty that can sing with some clothes on? cos im gettin really, really sick of looking at these supposedly "beautiful" half naked women!

She's hardly putting it about and sleeping with half of America, she's a beautiful woman making a record. Big deal. It's all this negative attitude and 'body-shame' left over from the victorian era that creates all these negative vibes about a little bit of skin, I just don't understand how someone's body can be so offensive that you reeeaaallllly need to comment on it. 5,464 posts	to masterful-ally well, excuse me, but 1. that is not a bikini, that is a pathetic attempt to be a bikini 2. i have no objections to women showing a little skin-béyonces isnt a little skin! its practially all of it! now i know there are some people out their who get a kick out of that and ok, yeah, thats fine, but what disgusts me is that that is about the only reason that she is doing so well, its not on her talent, its on her body if women were deemed as beautiful whatever they looked like, that would be fine, but its only because people like béyonce are supposed to be the definition of beautiful sickens me now, normally i would have no objections to women showing a bit of flesh, but when it has a devestating affect on people (and me for that matter) then i strongly object to it

15,628 posts	Amethyst, I am no skinny bean, but I'm happy with myself, I know I don't look like beyonce, and I know that I don't need to, I have people that live me the way I am. I just can't stand women who begrude other women their beauty and the right to show off their body when they are proud of it. And when Beyonce showed off less flesh in the early days of Destiny's Child, they were still massively sucessful - you know why? The woman can sing. So maybe....just maybe...she's succeeding due to her talent. True, her looks will help her, but thats not a reason to call her a sl*t. Ally xxx

What I think is a tad hypocritical of her is how she often says that she doesn't feel the need to use sex to sell her music, yet in her videos she wears outfits worthy of Christina Aguilera and dances like that video where the N'SYNC guys were humping the floor.

5,464 posts	To masterful_ally (again) ok, i can see we're never going to agree on this, and its great that you are happy with yourself but what about those who arent as strong willed? those who are impressional, now usually i hate it when people bann skimpy costumes because of impressional kids, cos kids arent stupid, but there is actually some affect, believe me, i would know Destinys Child only became truly sucessful in the latter days of 'writings on the wall' and 'survivor' and if you take a look at any of those videos, you will see how little béyonce is actually wearing, as opposed to something like 'No, no no' in the very early days, when they wernt that sucessful, and if you see that video you will observe how much béyonce is wearing there is also the point of kelly rowland she hasnt done nearly as well as beyonce and would putmoney on the fact that we dont see her cavorting around in bikinins in her videos all i am saying is that there is no reason for her to go around dressed like that and also how come people can get away with calling Christna A a sl*t, but not beyonce?
