| Its been decided that in england that they will not fly there flag at government buildings. The muslim population say it is against there religion.
That kind of crap just pisses me off
Im all for equality and being treated fairly and having equal rights. But if you dont like the flag of the country your in, get out.
Seriously, if anyone goes to your home country, we follow the rules, we follow your customs, your laws. But if you move to ours, you dont like things and believe they should be removed?
I say screw you, you came here, you dont like it, theres the door.
On another note,
Granting illegal immigrants in the USA citizenship status and social security.
So let me get this straight, you come here illegally, you work illegally, you dont pay taxes and then get pissed off if we want to deport you. And to make it worse you want to be protected by the countries rights?
Heres what I say, you came here illegally, so your not a citizen until we give you a green card, so you really dont deserve the rights in this country. Besides the rights of not being tortured or treated badly in any way, you really dont have the right to say you have the freedom of speech.
How about you become a citizen first, then you can claim that right
So the illegal immigrants hold rallies, my solution?
A bunch of them are together, arrest em, and deport em if there not citizens
Freedom to petition is a right granted by the bill of rights to american citizens, you dont have that right.
Now, dont get me wrong, If your a citizen, or immigrant and you have legal status, then by all means, you are guaranteed and deserve every right. You contribute to the country and therefore deserve to be treated fairly and equally.
Otherwise, get out.

Well, coming from a non-American born citizen, I agree.
Granted, my parents are from the United States, I believe that if you plan on being here, if you plan on living here, follow the rules. It seriously isn't that hard. And, if you have a problem, you can leave. If you are illegal, you should be deported.
At home, my friends and I would take my black Trailblazer (it was black & had dark tinted windows) and we would drive past a group of mexicans and yell "Immigration!!!" They would scatter like bunnies. It was actually rather humorous.
America is a great place. You know how it got to be like that? Because people follow rules, because they don't bitch about every little thing that is wrong. Yes, our country is a mess right now, but that does not mean we don't like it.
As for England not flying their flag. Why? That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Muslims, maybe your religion offends me.
If this offended anyone, I apologize.

| A lot of Welsh people kick up a huge fuss whenever the holidays come because of crazy English people who drive wildly, and have the English flag on the car window and stuff.
I'm not so sure about what's wrong with showing some national pride (even if England is the route of all evil ), but in all fairness the tourists in Wales just aren't used to not driving on a dual carriageway. I'll be honest, I don't know much about the whole granting citizenship to illegals thing or how it works or anything--but are you people really such jackasses to illegals, or rather, mexicans?
I live on a border town, Nogales, Az, I'm a US citizen and so's all my family. often immigrants will come to our house asking for food or water, we give them food and water because even tho they are illegal, they are, after all, human beings.

I don't think illegal immigration is right by any means, but a lot of the aliens come here just because conditions across the line are so bad that they just want to earn some $ to help out their family. I don't think thats really cheating through life. stealing our food? america is one of the greatest manufacturers of food. Our corn crops are so great, that they're stealing business away from mexican corn in mexico. I also find it extremely offensive that you would associate all immigrants as being pervs.

some of the illegals try, and thats enough for me. some illegals have lived in this country for years, and are just too stubborn to apply for citizenship--and those people should probably just leave-- deportation is fine too, I just don't approve of your comments on the matter.

If they want to be here so damn bad, they can become citizens. You think it's ok that they work, get paid and don't have to pay taxes? Yet, they have the same rights we do, they get the healthcare like we do and yet we pay taxes.

i never said I thought it was right that they work, get paid, and dont have to pay taxes and get health care like we do yet we pay taxes. I just think its wrong that you would harass a group of people like so. you say you drive up to a group of mexicans? it seems ignorant that you would assume that these people are illegal simply because they are mexican? thats what sickens me. also, if I were hanging out with my friends and were mexican and someone drove by screaming "immigration" i would get the hell out of there because I would be afraid of the people in the vehicle committing some sort of hate crime-- illegal immigration sucks, i just disapprove of the way you stereotype.

Are you kidding me? when you buy anything at a store you get charged taxes. They don't ask if your a citizen to tax you. Immigrants work harder than anyother person to make $50 a week. if they were to file income tax the government would actually have to give them money.
Only U.S citizens are allowed to receive Welfare and any other type of government help. If your pissed of at lazy people that receive welfare than you are pissed of at lazy Americans.

I'm talking about taxes being taken out of paychecks.
Since they don't get a paycheck, they get paid in cash, they don't have to pay taxes.
The other thing that frustrates me is that they don't take the time to learn the language.

| I dont think she meant to say that it was just mexicans. Mexicans are statistically higher as illegal immigrants, so most people misinterpret and stereotype mexicans. Mexicans would be the most logical in higher statistics, very simply because they are connected by land and the border is easier to cross that way. Then again you have the cubans who are just off the coast of florida, they would be next on the logical step of who would be illegals by distance.

The British government has stopped raising their flag on government buildings? I find that unbelievable somehow - where did you get that information?

To everyone - if you're going to debate/quote/talk about events in the news please add a link to the article you read (if you read it online, if it was offline try to find a similar one online - it will be there). By doing that it shows other people on the forum that you're not exaggarating or making up the event, gives people more background information and helps them make up their own mind a bit better.
