128 posts	well i was reading some of the other posts, and i saw that most of these people have no idea what theyre talking about. i have nothing against people liking other music than me, but it pisses me off when they are so obsessed with 'artists' who have absolutely no talent whatsoever. it annoys the crap out of me whe nthere are little girls who love good charlotte and eminem, who are talentless morons, and they run around voicing their uneducated opinions about them. even if you like it, you have to agree that mainstream rap and pop 'punk' music takes no talent whatsoever to do. mumbling about your shitty childhoods and playing power chords and root notes doesnt take any talent. and i dont think that people should give it the kind of respect when they do when i see posts about how bands such as radiohead, with a genius such a thom yorke writing the lyrics and music, suck, but then i see that simple plan is so talented and great. it just annoys me and it should piss everyone else off too.

128 posts	i dont have a problem with people's opinions if they are different than mine. i just think that people that liek music that doesnt take much, if any, talent, should still have respect for music that does. ive used radiohead as an example and i will again...look atthe music and lyrics of radiohead, adn compare them to that of blink182. i think that should explain itself. what goes into the actual writing and composing of music is what im talking about, not just th e final product. i admit that blink 182's music SOUNDS good, but it is sucky music because it is always pentatonic power chords and root notes. and their lyrics have no emotion and mean nothing to them 99% of the time...but if you look at such songs by radiohead as "i will", about the US accidently bombing something in Iraq and you hear the anger and how they use music to convey a message about things other than having sex with things and being immature, you need to admit, even if you dont like how radiohead sounds, that they are a better band than blink182 could ever be. so all im saying is people that like "punk" music, etc., should have more respect for creative and good music like radiohead, etc...

128 posts	the difference is that the above mentioned bands actually took time to become MUSICIANS and have a love for music, and they use that to write their own...pop punk bands arent musicians. none of them. this thread was started not referring to what music sounds like, but what is put into it and having respect for musicians and people that actually have talent. and to try to make people realize that worshiping such bands as good charlotte while saying bands like my chemical romance and radiohead "suck". its not right.

Look here, I am not going to allow myself to get into an argument with you because frankly I am not bothered with what you think is good music and what is rubbish music. I am here to point out that the way you're conveying yourself here is from a biased point of view. You are saying what you're saying because you obviously like Radiohead and other 'creative good music'. Why should those 'punk' fans have respect for the bands which you like when you don't return the respect back? Just a thought.

128 posts	not true. pop punk bands like i have mentioned didnt put any effort into writing their songs or learning how to play their instrument. they used their miniscule understanding of thier instrument to write songs that is going to make them money and get them girls. and then they call it punk when im sure they have never even HEARD real punk music and even if they have, they cant understand it. all im saying is that you people that like that kind of music need to have RESPECT for MUSICIANS and people that are good at what they do and have actual TALENT and SKILL. listen to whatever, but just dont say it sucks.
