| Lots of people are wondering how te become a moderator or how they are chosen. It's not a matter of having something, like having more then 5000 or being a member for more then a year. No, it's a matter of your appearence in the forum.
'Real' moderators stand up on the first day they are here in the forum. They are doing something extra then the other member, they are helping other members, help thinking about how to make this forum better and they are here on a regular basis. If you look around you can find some these members. It are these members that earn the most respect from others and if a moderator is needed, these members are recommended for the job.
So it's not a matter of how much you have done or how long, but what you do and how you it. |

You know Curtis... having the 'moderator' status is a double-edged sword...
On the one hand, it's a great honour to have been chosen to be a moderator for such a vast worldwide forum. To know that somewhere along the line, I've impressed enough people who have deemed me worthy.
On the other hand, I'm part of the team that are just waiting and ready to be shot down. The problems of being a moderator is vast too... but I guess that's why I'm doing this.. I'm willing to take on the challenge. | | 0 @ 07-09-2005 23:08 HYPNOTiSED |

| most people hate authority figures so i wouldn't want to b 1. but if it came down to it though i probably would do it if i was asked.

| ... I wouldn't mind being a mod... I think it would be kinda cool...
Knowing others can come to me for advice and I could censor stuff on the forum... there's too many times when I come online and there's some kinda obsceneity or spam that's there for hours until a Mod comes along...

| check out the artists moderators thread.
you have to be a member atleast 4 months I think before you can be a mod, after that the bands that are unmod'd are free game.
