How To Become A Moderator

Lots of people are wondering how te become a moderator or how they are chosen. It's not a matter of having something, like having more then 5000 posts or being a member for more then a year. No, it's a matter of your appearence in the forum.

'Real' moderators stand up on the first day they are here in the forum. They are doing something extra then the other member, they are helping other members, help thinking about how to make this forum better and they are here on a regular basis. If you look around you can find some these members. It are these members that earn the most respect from others and if a moderator is needed, these members are recommended for the job.

So it's not a matter of how much you have done or how long, but what you do and how you it.

You know Curtis... having the 'moderator' status is a double-edged sword... On the one hand, it's a great honour to have been chosen to be a moderator for such a vast worldwide forum. To know that somewhere along the line, I've impressed enough people who have deemed me worthy. On the other hand, I'm part of the team that are just waiting and ready to be shot down. The problems of being a moderator is vast too... but I guess that's why I'm doing this.. I'm willing to take on the challenge.

80 posts	most people hate authority figures so i wouldn't want to b 1. but if it came down to it though i probably would do it if i was asked. but i wouldn't like to correct people as everyone has the right to think and belive wot they want to ain't it. it would be like banging your head against a brick wall.

14,780 posts	... I wouldn't mind being a mod... I think it would be kinda cool... Knowing others can come to me for advice and I could censor stuff on the forum... there's too many times when I come online and there's some kinda obsceneity or spam that's there for hours until a Mod comes along...

23,369 posts	check out the artists moderators thread. you have to be a member atleast 4 months I think before you can be a mod, after that the bands that are unmod'd are free game. rockon tabitha

38,012 posts	At the age of 12 I felt that my life achievement was to become a mod on LSI. I knew that it would be tough ... a lot of sacrifice would be involved, so I decided to become gay. I knew that when the time would come and sleeping with anth would be required, I would be all prepared
