Hey guys! I just noticed there is a poetry forum here (my account isn't new, but I haven't really been active with this place until recently) and I write a little bit and I thought I'd share with you some of my works! Some are published so I guess I'm not that terrible, but give it a read

"Poison The Well"

Take your delicate sips
From the well directly to your lips
Drink it slow, savor the taste
Every last drop, leave none to waste

Go and pass it around
To this well we shall be bound
Midnight arrived, my work was done
Stealth in moving, caught by none

The sun again reborn
Through lies we were torn
No longer a burden to carry
Beneath our feet it may bury

This lingering strife has left
Our foolish anger also bereft
My plan made up of perfection
All receive a renewed reflection

Seldom a "sorry" passes by
People can't seem to speak a lie
I've waited on this my whole life
Image in my mind carved with a knife

Marriges are now purified
Friendships now fortified
Beauty again personified
Lies finally nullified

I have saved us from this hell
It was I who poisoned the well
Did nothing with force so brute
Only tainted the water with truth

"Set Ablaze the Heavens of Darkness"

His wings whisper; "Immortality"
Letting the myth, become a burning reality
A life and death ending in flames
Rebirth set still in a golden frame
A silent wind casts away the ashes
Fire red feathers appear in flashes
The exalted invincible again reappears
Eternal pyro sets the sky clear
The celestial avatar of flawless divinity
The continuous, everlasting, almighty infinity
Perennial perfection once again flies
It's flight, perpetual, for it never dies
The air consumed by majestic supremacy
For nothing compares it's colossal legacy
The sun remains envious of his luminescence
And the burning flames of his triumphant essence
His aura brings solace to the Fallen's dreams
The Macabre ease, to his blazing screams
Death cowers while in the very presence of
The faithful yield to the deity high above
While his graceful ceremony, needs no fix
For he is the inferno, the replenished Phoenix…

"Black Rose Dying"

With the ice entangled with your veins
Your mind sits withered, controlled by pain
You fake your smiles to hide the scars
Made your wishes upon fallen stars
A soul no one took the time to know
As perfect as paper before the poem
Like eyes that never embraced a cry
As blunt as the truth before the lie
Guilty by design to carry the weight
The burden grows with each passing day
You uncover your escape deep in the night
Then awake to the grief only life could ignite
Only to have your dreams reaved and fade
As you search for your hope gone astray
Too decrepit to climb the steps of life
So jaded from days of endless strife
You're a battered soldier, fatigued by the fight
A one winged bird, attempting flight
Caught in a world immersed in blue
As you await the light to make it's debut
Your heart is wounded and tired of trying
Soaked in sorrow like a black rose dying

I have a couple more decent ones if anyone wants me to post them I'd be more than glad

bravo bravo those are really good. I write a little bit of poetry myself, but I don't think they're very good. I just write about what's on my mind and try to make it rhyme! You should enter your stuff into contests or something, have you ever tried it?

Thanks! Actually, I'm in a contets now. Though I couldn't enter the poem I wanted due to a 25 line limit. But hey, if more people are saying I should do something with them, why not?

Sorry for the like...triple post (lol) but just as an update for the few who did read these, I entered a local contest and won $200 for first place for "Poison The Well"!!! I was very excited when I found out about. I've been just trying to get my stuff as my folks are encouraging me to.

Thanks bro. Yeah, my family and friends are most fond of that one as well. When I get my band going I planned on possibly putting them into a more lyrical form. But Thanks again for the feedback guys, means ALOT!
