Christmas? - just wondering

| I wasn't sure which category to put this thread in, but anyway..
I don't wish to start any sort of conflict, (but, then again, to some people this is a sensitive topic), but I just ask this question out of curiosity -
Whoever celebrates Christmas; do you people observe it as a religious celebration, or as a cultural celebration? Do you believe it was the birth of Christ, or has the idea of Christmas just become commercialized over the years?

| I'm an atheist but I celebrate Christmas. I take the religious aspect out of it. See, my entire family is really Christian (We sang happy birthdya to Jesus at our fmaily party tonight.)

| i see christmas as a non-religious festival taking aspect of christianity into account, it doesn't sotp people of all faiths celebrating it.
i see advent as a christian festival which christmas is based on.

| i dont have anything against jesus and christ and all of that jazz.. but i dont really pay it all any attention.. its christmas.. its presents.. and happiness and... christmas.

| you kwo out of all the things on my xmas dinner i was looking forward to eating my mum forgot to get. i thought "god my christmas is ruined now" lol xmas meal is the best part of it, if one bits left out, it's not the same. |
