I managed to miss Glastonbury, V2002 and Reading/Leeds festivals (the 3 big UK festivals) this year because of exams/work/lack of money at booking time, so anyway, I wanna make up for it by going to as many live gigs as poss.
Was wondering if anyone had seen a particular band live that was great and if anyone had any recomendations at all, I could see if they were touring over here. I am into indie, hip hop, rock mainly.
Ally.
PS: I'll start it - best band I've seen live recently = The Strokes - must go see!

I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but I went to a Philly show with Everclear that was just phenomenal. Those guys can rock! Soul Coughing was on the same bill, so it would have been great anyways, but Everclear really did steal the show.

Adema, surprisingly, as well as Finch, AudioVent (if you can get past the... uh.... hand gestures of the lead singer). Trust Company puts on an AWESOME show, very high energy.

Sevendust has never failed me. Ever. They always rock.

Stabbing Westward was amazing. Too bad they broke up. *sniff* I miss you, Chris.

Jimmy's Chicken Shack is a good show if they're in a small venue. They need to be able to relate to an audience.

New Found Glory sucks live. Sucks sucks sucks. I was so disappointed.

i recently saw Zakk Wylde live...aww man thats the best stuff right there. lol it was a small gig and you could get up front row and just watch him do one of his insane solos. *drools* i can't wait till they start touring again. also im not really a big fan but andrew w.k. at ozzfest was great. he really gets into it, and its hilarious to see all the stuff he does to get a laugh.

Crap Bands: Meshuga, I saw them with Tool, Tool wasn't that great either, but if you're a big Tool fan, then you'd probably like them.
GREAT BANDS!!: Our Lady Peace (they're more awesome each year- LIVE) , Seether, Finger eleven, Bush and Audiovent, Robin Black is also good live, just 'cause he's entertaining, but I'm not a huge fan of his music
