| Actually I'm not Battle.net capable anymore. I'm beta-testing the 1.10 patch which has been due for over a year. If you don't know what I mean, go to battle.net/diablo2exp/ and you'll see it all over the news page. If you install the beta-version of the patch to test it, your Battle.net ability gets cut and you can only play a Single Player or TCP/IP game with your friends.
I swear, it changes the entire game. Monsters have a higher attack power, more life, and better resistances. A whole bunch of the skills have had major overhauls too. You know how the Druid's summoning skills affect each other? (Like having points in Spirit Wolf will raise attack and defense for Dire Wolves and Grizzly Bear) Well every character has skills like that now. For instance, the Amazon's Immolation arrow has more damage and longer burning rate if you put more points into Exploding arrow and Fire Arrow. That kinda stuff. Plus, there's LOADS of new unique items. There's actually Unique Jewels and Charms now too! Plus, all the Elite items have unique versions now, not just a few of them. The Forgotten Tower (Act 1, Quest 4) will have much larger floors now in Nightmare and Hell difficulties.
Oh, and one small thing, Azurewrath is no longer a Crystal sword, it's a Phase Blade and it's been totally redesigned. Oh, the beauty.....check out the items page on battle.net. The new elites are insane. What sucks is that this is a tribute to how difficult the monsters are now.
All this isn't even a smidgen of how they've changed the game. Forget the game as you know it right now.

| 99 is a waste of time. Only once did I actually spend the time to do it, and now my level 99 Paladin still has 17 unused skill points because I dont' need them for anything. lol |
